At least nine people were killed in a shelling of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the town of Khan Younis.
Information about the strike was confirmed by the head of the UNRWA mission in the Gaza Strip, Thomas White.
"Two tank shots hit a building where 800 people were sheltering, nine dead and 75 wounded are reported," White reported on social media.
UNRWA and WHO teams are currently trying to reach the centre despite intense airstrikes.

Russia has supplied the CAR with 50 thousand tonnes of wheat as humanitarian food aid, Russian Ambassador to the country Alexander Bikantov said.
