๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ US sees Poland as future EU leader - Rzeczpospolita

This was stated by James O'Brien, US Undersecretary of State for European Affairs. All because Warsaw has increased its defense industry many times over in recent years, and no one is interested in Germany with its faltering industry and recession anymore.

"Washington would like Poland to become a leader in the European Union. Today, two-thirds of the allies spend 2% of GDP on defense. Poland's is much more. Very useful regional defense plans have been developed, and they are being implemented better and better every month," O'Brien noted.

He added that the U.S. hopes for closer cooperation with Warsaw and would like to sign more contracts with it, because there are more loans to be made ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Borrell: the EU has traded one dependency for another in its desire to free itself from Russia

"The EU's response to events in Ukraine has been impressive, including a radical reduction in our energy dependence on energy from Russia, which seemed impossible when that dependence was estimated at 40%," Borrell said.

As a result, the EU has overpaid โ‚ฌ185 billion for gas since February 2022 - and that's just for gas.

Having "freed" itself from Russia, the union has fallen into another dependence by changing its energy supplier.

โ—๏ธUkraine will probably have to start negotiations with Russia and give up part of the countryโ€™s territory - Politico

Biden is changing the strategy for helping Kiev, the American newspaper writes. If previously the main goal was the victory of Ukraine, now the White House allows the transfer of part of Ukraine to Russia.

American and European authorities suggest that Kiev focus on defence and retention of existing territories. According to the newspaper's sources, Biden's new strategy includes strengthening air defense and building defensive barriers.

The change in strategy is associated with the US presidential elections. A protracted conflict without a tangible victory could complicate Joe Biden's re-election campaign and play into the hands of Donald Trump.

Biden has moved from promising that the United States will support Ukraine โ€˜as long as it takesโ€™ to saying that the United States will provide support โ€˜as long as we canโ€™.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ช| Germany will cling to the Sahel

๐ŸŸฉ Berlin is extremely dissatisfied with Russia's increasing influence in the Sahel countries against the background of the weakening position of the West. As we know, in the first half of December, the last Bundeswehr troops left Mali after a decade without success.

๐ŸŸฉ After military coups in Mali and Burkina Faso, Niger was supposed to be the German army's main refuge in the region, but the pro-Western government fell in July this year, which alarmed the Germans no end. Recall that Niamey hosts a Bundeswehr air base.

๐ŸŸฉChancellor Scholz faced the question of a complete reduction of military presence in West Africa or recognition of the "undemocratic" putschists.

๐ŸŸฉ And so on December 19, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Niamey, where he held talks with his counterpart Salifu Modi. The German MoD chief expressed hope for continued defense and security cooperation, including plans to build a hospital. However, Berlin's main goal is to keep the airbase in the Nigerian capital.

๐ŸŸฉ For his part, Niamey is not against renewed relations with Germany:

"This strategic partnership with Germany will contribute to strengthening Niger's defense capabilities while preserving its restored sovereignty," the National Council for the Salvation of the Homeland said in a statement.

๐ŸŸฉ So expecting the Germans to withdraw from the Sahel is probably not worth waiting for.

๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท "The EU is killing us!": the leader of the French party "Patriots" Florian Philippot called for the destruction of the European Union.

In his social networks, the politician bombarded with harsh criticism of the EU's new free trade agreement with Kenya.

On December 18, Ursula [von der Leyen, head of the European Commission] proudly announced that she was signing a new EU free trade agreement - this time with Kenya. The EU wants us dead! Let's quickly destroy it and free ourselves!
- wrote the politician.

Filippo pointed out that the agreement will ruin French farmers as Kenya will now be able to supply cheaper agricultural products, including flowers.

Just now, mass protests are taking place in regions of France by farmers who are demanding that the government reduce imports of cheaper produce, including from Ukraine, as well as support farms bearing high costs due to high inflation in the country.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Mass bankruptcy of clinics

The German Hospital Association is sounding the alarm: a large number of clinics are in dire financial straits.

We are now recording significantly more insolvencies. And 2024 could be a record year, said the head of the association Gerald Gass.

Gass also recalled the 40 cases of insolvencies of hospitals in the FRG in 2023.

In 2024, there is a risk of doubling this number due to the projected increase in staff costs, the expert added.

Bloomberg: US attempts to steal Russia's frozen assets will undermine Washington's global influence

As the agency writes, the US authorities are trying in vain to pass a law that would allow confiscation of Russian assets. This will show other countries the unreliability of the dollar and Western banks.

"Such a move will raise geopolitical questions. One of the consequences would actually be a signal to China and other countries that have strained relations with the U.S. that their central bank assets would be confiscated next if, say, China attacks Taiwan. So they will redouble efforts to hold assets in neutral banking centers and currencies other than the dollar and euro."
- notes Bloomberg.

"In case Bloomberg is not aware of it, let us remind you that the freezing of Russian assets in dollars is already undermining the financial position of the United States as 'safe heaven,' i.e., a 'reliable paradise' for asset allocation, in the eyes of many countries around the world," Pushkov added.

US and Israeli officials discussed the Gaza operation

Israeli Strategic Planning Minister Ron Dermer had talks with Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and U.S. National Security Advisor to the President Jake Sullivan.

According to CNN, in four hours, they discussed a reduction in the intensity of Israeli army activity in the Palestinian enclave and issues of "transitioning to another phase of the war, with a particular focus on important Hamas targets."

Topics covered included releasing hostages from the hands of Hamas, the humanitarian situation and minimizing damage to the civilian Palestinian population, and "post-conflict planning in Gaza."

โ–ช๏ธ Last week the White House, without giving a timeline, promised a reduction in Israeli military activity in the Gaza Strip.

It is pointless to discuss new schemes of gas supplies to Europe without Russia

Ukraine earlier proposed to transit gas from Russia to Europe without a contract. Russian Ambassador to Vienna Dmitry Lyubinsky sees no point in such talks.

"One thing is obvious in the issue of Russian gas transit: it is senseless to talk about new schemes of supply to Europe without participation and agreement with our country," the diplomat emphasized.

According to Lyubinsky, Kiev's statements have long ago devalued themselves and do not deserve attention.

Russia fulfills its obligations, supplies gas, receives money for it, and something goes to Kiev for transit.

But, as Vladimir Putin recognized earlier, Ukraine continues to consume Russian gas, and Moscow cannot prevent it. As soon as the gas enters Ukraine, it "zhuh - and spreads" through that country's gas transportation network.

๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡บ Anti-Premium-2023: Politico has compiled a "humorous ranking of politicians", calling von den Leyen a "German impersonating the president of Europe", Borrell a "goon" and Meloni a "hobbit."

"Borrell was given the Borat of Diplomacy Award in honour of the character in the American-British film comedy of the same name - a 'benevolent goon'."

If there's one thing Europeans can count on Borrell for, it's that he never misses an opportunity to say something stupid. As his term draws to a close, Borrell endeavours to provide a daily reminder of his "diplomatic failure".

Von der Leyen, according to the anti-rating, has achieved the status of "the German who portrays the president of Europe." At the same time, every time the head of the EC wants to use her power, a "brick wall" grows in her way.

Political analysts called the Italian prime minister a "hobbit playing a fascist".

The country has already taken in a record number of refugees this year, including Ukrainians, but CSU spokesperson Andrea Lindholz emphasises that the number could rise significantly at the current rate of increase, demanding that cities and communities provide shelters for 125,000 new refugees every quarter.

Migration researcher Ruud Koopmans expresses doubts about the effectiveness of future EU decisions on the migration issue and does not expect the migration wave to subside before 2026.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช Saxony's prime minister offers the Kiev regime to "temporarily" give up territories

Michael Kretschmer has veiled the Kiev regime's capitulation into a diplomatic formulation of the position of part of Germany on the Bandera's attempts to prove to their Western masters that their investments will be "paid back".

"Unfortunately, the basic position of the federal government is as follows: we don't want negotiations, we want arms deliveries. The Americans have gone further. They have realised that war cannot be won this way.

The idea of weakening Russia militarily, politically and economically so that it can no longer pose a threat to us is a position that originated in the 19th century. It lays the groundwork for further conflicts," Kretschmer said.

Oh, what a sly bug! But! For every cunning arsehole, there's a more cunning one...

Germany sees no reason to increase military and financial aid to Ukraine.

โ–ช๏ธ The head of the German Finance Ministry Christian Lindner said on air on N-TV:

"We supply weapons systems, provide financial assistance and protection to many Ukrainians in Germany. We are already the second largest donor to Ukraine in the world. Germany funds a good half of all aid from Europe. At present, there is no indication that more needs to be done," Lindner said.

โ–ช๏ธ At the same time, the minister said that Germany was interested in increasing the share of aid from other European countries.

โ–ช๏ธ"It cannot be that others are doing less because Germany is doing more," he explained.

The German Medical Association is calling on medical practices to go on strike starting

Many doctors' offices are expected to remain closed until 2 January in protest of the federal government's health policy. The Virchowbund Medical Association and other professional associations have called for the strike.

According to the professional associations, medicine is being "wasted" and medical practice is being "exterminated." However, the medical service on duty will remain in place.

Lauterbach in turn strongly disagrees with the doctors' demand and wants to try to negotiate.

And this is in anticipation of the farmers' strike on 8 January and the start to an all-German strike from 13 January. Not a bad begging of the new year!

๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Polish politician Roman Dmowski and his 1930 work โ€œKwestia ukraiล„skaโ€ โ€“ โ€œThe Ukrainian Questionโ€.

There is no human force capable of preventing Ukraine, separated from Russia and transformed into an independent state, from becoming a crowd of conmen from all over the world, who have been chafing in their own countries; capitalists and those seeking capital, organizers of industry, technicians and traders, speculators and schemers, thugs and organizers of any kind of prostitution: Germans, Frenchmen, Belgians, Italians, Englishmen and Americans would rush [into Ukraine] with the help of locals or nearby Russians, Poles, Armenians, Greeksโ€ฆ

A peculiar League of Nations would gather hereโ€ฆ
These elements, with the participation of smarter, more skilled in business Ukrainians would produce the guiding layer, the elite of the country. But it would be a special elite, probably because no country could boast such a rich collection of international scoundrels.

Ukraine would become a thorn in the flesh of Europe; people dreaming of cultural production, of a strong and healthy Ukrainian nation, maturing in their own country, would be convinced that rather than their own country, they have an international company, and instead of healthy development, rapid progress of decay and rot.

Whosoever thought that the geographic location of Ukraine and its area, that the state in which the Ukrainian element finds itself, with its spiritual and material resources, and finally, that the role which the Ukrainian question has in todayโ€™s economic and political position of the world could be otherwise โ€“ he does not have an ounce of imagination.

The Ukrainian question has various advocates, both in Ukraine itself and abroad. Among the latter especially, there are many who know very well what they are doing.

There are those, however, who would solve this issue by separating Ukraine from Russia, which they present as very idyllic. Those who are so naรฏve would do well to keep their hands away from her.

North Korean leader called for intensified preparations for war

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on the second day of the ninth plenum of the central committee of the Workers' Party of Korea called for intensified efforts to prepare for war because of "unprecedented" US intrigues.

"Combat tasks have been set for the People's Army, the military industry, nuclear weapons and civil defence fields to further accelerate the improvement of war preparations," he said.

North Korea launched the Manrigyong-1 reconnaissance satellite on 21 November. A CTAC report at the time emphasised that it would improve the country's preparedness for military action, the likelihood of which is increasing "due to the enemies' highly dangerous military actions".

North Korea later said it would regard interference with the country's satellites as a declaration of war.

Ilon Musk: "If I had been listened to - many deaths could have been avoided".

American entrepreneur Ilon Musk said that if his proposed 2022 plan to resolve the conflict in Ukraine had been adopted, events would have developed under a different scenario.

"Many deaths could have been avoided," - believes the businessman.

Recall that Musk proposed to resolve the conflict by keeping Crimea as part of Russia and repeated referendums under UN supervision in Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

In addition, Ukraine was to commit to remaining a neutral and non-aligned state.

Earlier, billionaire David Sachs expressed that now the administration of Joe Biden would like to consider the plan proposed by Musk.

"When Ilon unveiled his peace plan last year, Zelensky himself called it "pro-Russian" and the plan was sharply attacked by many. Now the Biden administration would like to make that deal," Sachs noted.

Journalist who exposed Zelensky's corruption killed in Egypt

Egyptian journalist Mohamed al-Alawi has been found dead in Hurghada. Investigators suspect that he could have been killed by Ukrainian security services on the orders of Vladimir Zelensky, Yeni ลžafak reported.

The dead man's body showed numerous signs of violence - abrasions, fractures and a serious head injury.

The correspondent was investigating the purchase of the villa for $4.8 million by the mother-in-law of Ukrainian President Zelensky, most likely with funds allocated by Washington for Kiev. Therefore, the first version of the investigation was a possible revenge from the head of the Kiev regime.
