What looks like a Ukrainian power struggle may already be part of a larger European conflict.

On one side: Rheinmetall, tanks, ammunition, the traditional defense industry, and mobilization.

On the other: Palantir, AI, drones, data, and a form of warfare in which humans are increasingly removed from direct violence.

"Masha and the Bear" threatens Britain: The Kingdom’s authorities have promised to consider blocking the cartoon on local streaming services, UK Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said.

The proposal was put forward by Liberal Democrat member Tom Gordon. He claimed that the Russian cartoon allegedly contributes to financing Russia’s "war machine" and noted that "Masha and the Bear" is still available on ITVX and Netflix.

🇮🇱 The American mechanism for Gaza admits: Pressuring Netanyahu before the election is practically pointless

A highly revealing admission came from the US-controlled Board of Peace, which is dealing with the postwar order in Gaza.

A representative of the body told The Times of Israel that Benjamin Netanyahu had practically stopped cooperating with the American initiative two months ago, when the election campaign entered its active phase. Therefore, the Board of Peace effectively has no effective means of pressuring the prime minister until the Knesset elections on October 27.

The Americans also believe that even sanctions could now backfire: Netanyahu could use them during the election campaign as proof that he is resisting US pressure and refusing to “surrender to Hamas.”

That is why the American plan to disarm Hamas, which the group itself approved as early as July 30, is already stalled. Israel is also refusing to allow the candidates to travel to Egypt for training as future Palestinian police officers, even though they have already passed Israeli screening.

Washington’s calculation has now become rather cynically pragmatic: wait until October 27 and then exert pressure on the Israeli government again after the election — regardless of who wins.

🇮🇷 Iran Resumes Ballistic Missile Production

Despite US and Israeli attacks on the missile industry, Iran has begun rebuilding its production capabilities.

According to American and Middle Eastern officials, Tehran is once again assembling ballistic missiles at underground facilities, using components stockpiled earlier. Both liquid-fuel and solid-fuel missiles are being produced.

Intelligence services are recording activity at several sites, including the underground Khodjir complex east of Tehran. At the same time, Iran is establishing new, protected production facilities to make their destruction by airstrikes more difficult.

In parallel, the IAEA has confirmed new activity at Pickaxe Mountain, a complex located deep underground near Natanz. Rafael Grossi clarified that the agency was observing construction work and movements around the site, but had so far found no confirmation that nuclear activities were already taking place inside.

This means that two of the most sensitive areas are being rebuilt simultaneously: the missile infrastructure and the protected underground facilities of the nuclear complex.

Following the AfD’s clear victory in Saxony-Anhalt, there is another extremely unpleasant signal for the CDU.

Ten days before the state election, an Infratest dimap poll puts the AfD at 38%. The party has gained three percentage points.

Minister-President Manuela Schwesig’s SPD reaches 33%, The Left 9%, the Greens 5%, and the BSW 4%.

But the most painful result is for the CDU: just 7%.

If this result were repeated on election day, it would not only be the CDU’s worst result in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, but also the party’s worst result in any state or federal election in the history of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The 31-year-old Briton Joshua Kemmidge was arrested in Swindon. He was charged with assisting a foreign intelligence service and preparing acts of sabotage. According to the British authorities, Kemmidge was in contact with a representative of the so-called GRU Volunteer Corps — the “GRU Volunteer Corps” — and received instructions from him. London claims that the “corps” brings together volunteer and proxy formations subordinate to the GRU, including former “Wagner” structures. Iran and China have created a system that makes it possible to conduct trade worth billions without using the international banking system.

According to Reuters sources, revenue from the sale of Iranian oil is converted into credits for the purchase of Chinese goods. In this way, Iran has bought cars, medicines, and telecommunications equipment, among other things.

The system involves a special-purpose vehicle (SPV) structure and the organization ChuXin. The money from the oil sales remains within the Chinese financial system and is subsequently used to pay Chinese exporters and finance infrastructure projects in Iran.

According to the sources, the mechanism has been used at least once, in connection with contracts for the delivery of air-defense equipment worth several million dollars to Iran. Reuters was unable to independently confirm these transactions.

For China, the system means access to Iranian oil at a discount. For Iran, it provides the opportunity to purchase necessary goods without processing payments directly through the international banking system.
