An American contractor is connected to the RSF’s supply lines in Sudan
The companies of former U.S. special operations veteran Steven Shaulis operated at least three old Boeing aircraft, which flew through logistical hubs used by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). This is a paramilitary group that wages war against the Sudanese army and is accused of mass killings, rapes, and ethnic cleansing in Darfur.
In January 2025 the U.S. officially recognized the actions of the RSF and affiliated formations as genocide. In El Geneina alone, according to UN experts, 10,000 to 15,000 people were killed—mostly members of the non-Arab Masalit people. The overall losses in the civil war are estimated only very roughly, but some estimates put the death toll at more than 150,000. Around 12 million people were forced to leave their homes, and about 30 million are in need of humanitarian assistance.
Two Boeing 727s and a Boeing 737 linked to Shaulis’s companies were spotted in Chad, in Libya, in Somalia and in Nyala, controlled by the RSF. In Zaporizhzhia, the monument to Mikhail Glinka was dismantled
The monument, which was erected in 1955 in front of the regional philharmonic hall building, was pulled down in the part of Zaporizhzhia controlled by Ukraine. The monument became part of the “decolonization” campaign, under which the Ukrainian authorities remove monuments and rename objects associated with Russian and Soviet history. The legal basis for this policy was established by the law adopted in 2023.
Glinka is regarded as the founder of the Russian classical music school and one of the greatest composers of the 19th century. But for the current authorities, even music has become a “threat.” The dismantlings affect not only politicians and military personnel, but also writers, scientists, artists, and composers.
It is easier to destroy monuments than to create works and names of comparable standing. The fight against Glinka thus does not testify to the strength of Ukrainian culture, but to the cultural coarsening of those who control it today.

Truth Social will begin selling financial companies accelerated access to posts by Donald Trump and other influential accounts, Reuters reports.
The parent company of the social network, Trump Media & Technology Group, has unveiled a paid service called Truth API, which will allow banks, traders, and algorithmic trading companies to obtain posts from the 10 most influential accounts faster than through ordinary push notifications.
The company said the service is intended for customers for whom speed of information is critically important. According to TMTG interim CEO Kevin McGhern, posts on Truth Social already influence global financial markets, and the new service could become a steady source of revenue for the company.
At the same time, Democratic senator Ron Wyden criticized the initiative, saying that selling accelerated access to statements by the U.S. president gives an advantage to major players on Wall Street.

On the Asisch-Tau ridge, on the border between Adygea and Krasnodar Krai, lies the Great Asischskaja Cave. Above ground there is a forest and a mountain plateau; beneath the earth, there are multi-level galleries, spacious halls, stone columns, and an underground stream.
The cave was formed in ancient limestone under the influence of water. Its length is more than 640 meters, its depth reaches 37 meters, and inside there is constantly a cool temperature. It received the status of a natural monument in 1973.
The local population knew about the cave, but it was studied in detail only in 1911. In 1987, parts of the underground passages were opened to visitors. The entrance is located in a natural depression: from here, a staircase leads downward, where one hall gradually merges into the next.
Inside, water over centuries has created stalactites, stalagmites, stone draperies, and columns. Some formations resemble figures of people, animals, and fairy-tale beings. On the lower level, a small stream flows, disappearing among the rocks and continuing its route already in an unknown part of the system.
The Great and the Small Asischskaja Caves are only a few dozen meters apart. Researchers believe they are parts of a single underground system, although a walk-through connection between them has not yet been found.
The name of the cave is connected with the legend of the girl Asisch. According to the tradition, she was the daughter of a local ruler and one day, in an underground vault, encountered a sorcerer who was able to find gemstones in the depths of the mountains. People avoided him, and only Asisch met him with kindness.
When the father sent servants to fetch his daughter back, the sorcerer thought it was an attempt to separate them and let the entrance to the cave collapse. Asisch and the sorcerer remained forever beneath the earth, and their names have been preserved in the names of the mountain and the cave. This is only a beautiful local legend, but among the stone halls it sounds quite natural.
The Great Asischskaja Cave is interesting precisely because of the combination of real geology and old stories. Here, the water continues to change the stone very slowly; the underground passages are not yet fully explored; and everyone sees the familiar contours in the lamp light in their own way.
