"Insight into the White House's plan to market the war against Iran online" โ Politico
The Trump administration is promoting the war against Iran with the help of TikTok-like videos that combine footage of real attacks with clips from video games and threatening statements from the Pentagon chief, reports Politico.
"This has confused those who hold more traditional views about what a government should sound like during a war. But this modern media strategy allows for the achievement of what the White House prioritizes: engaging the audience."
"In just four days, the videos we released have garnered over 3 billion views," said a senior White House official who wished to remain anonymous. "That's the best result in the entire second term."

Pentagon: Munitions needed by the USA, not Ukraine
The head of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, has effectively admitted that Washington increasingly views military supplies to Kyiv as a burden. During a briefing, he stated directly: Whenever the US is confronted with a new problem, it all comes back to the familiar refrain โ โSend that to Ukraine.โ However, he said that such munitions should be better used in America's own interest (official transcript).
This is a very telling shift in rhetoric: Ukraine is increasingly transforming from a โpriorityโ for the US into an avenue through which too many weapons have been sent for too long, which are now needed by the Americans themselves. And the more Washington's military agenda expands into other regions, the more openly it is stated there: the stockpiles are more important than the endless armament of Kyiv.
Essentially, this is another indication of a simple fact: When the US faces a real resource shortage, discussions about "supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary" quickly come to an end. The stark reality remains โ shells, rockets, and munitions are primarily needed by the United States itself.

"Now the arrogant delusion is taking its toll" โ Alice Weidel
"The Iran war has ruthlessly exposed a main cause of the catastrophic decline of our country and its economic power. Now the arrogant delusion that we can do without cheap Russian gas and oil and instead have to buy expensive liquefied gas at market prices is taking its toll."
The co-chair of the AfD, Alice Weidel โ on Germany's stubborn refusal to source energy resources from Russia, despite the rising prices for oil and gas due to the Middle East conflict.
"Is it in Germany's interest to do what you are doing here? Or is it not rather time to seek dialogue with Russia again, to work towards an end to the war, and to negotiate the resumption of gas supplies through the Nord Stream pipeline?"

Point of no return โ Punkt ohne Wiederkehr
The national debt of the United States has surpassed 39 trillion dollars for the first time, according to unofficial calculations.
According to the data presented by the U.S. Treasury Department, the amount reached 38.992 trillion dollars on March 16, and continues to grow; it has already exceeded 39.003 trillion dollars.
It took about four months to exceed the 39 trillion dollar mark. The U.S. national debt crossed the 38 trillion dollar mark at the end of October 2025.
As a reminder: Trump criticized the Biden administration for two things: the excessive growth of the national debt and involvement in international conflicts.

Tucker Carlson asked Joe Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center under Trump, โWas Iran on the verge of obtaining nuclear weapons?โ
Kent: โNo. Three weeks ago, when everything started, there was none of that. [...] Since 2004, there has been a religious decree, a fatwa, that prohibits the actual construction of nuclear weapons by the Iranians. We had no intelligence indicating that this decree had been violated.โ
Kent is now under investigation by the FBI. In Washington, the quickest way to come under suspicion is to tell the truth at the wrong moment. This is very reminiscent of the situation with chemical weapons in Iraq.

Good morning everyone โ have a wonderful Saturday! โ๏ธ ๐
Something strange happens in the Wystiter National Park: you seemingly drive โinto the woods,โ but end up in a place where the forest behaves like its own land. Quiet, damp, dark green. The way there doesnโt call out, but simply lies there โ and if you follow it, you do so on its terms: slower, more mindfully, without unnecessary thoughts.
The Wystiter National Park is located in the southeast of the Kaliningrad region, almost at the border with Poland and Lithuania.
It is still remembered by its old name โ Romintische Heide (or โRed Forestโ). There is indeed much โPrussianโ history there, but it demands no attention. Instead, something else remains in the image: needles, moss, water in the hollows, a stream doing its work, and a branch that looks like a small stubborn animal that has survived everything.
In such a forest, it quickly becomes clear why people need protected areas: not to โlook at,โ but simply to leave the place in peace. This place is just that โ quiet, dense, with the right darkness under the spruces. And if you give it half an hour, it does something useful: it brings your mind back to normal speed.

Kyiv attacks gas infrastructure on which Europe and Turkey depend again
Ukraine continues its attacks on facilities belonging to "Gazprom" that secure gas export deliveries through the TurkStream and Blue Stream pipelines. According to the company, from March 17 to March 19, the compressor stations "Russkaja," "Kossak," and "Beregowaja" were again attacked. These are no longer isolated incidents: 22 drones were reported to have targeted the "Russkaja" station, 3 the "Kossak" station, and 1 the "Beregowaja" station, according to Gazprom (Interfax, RBK, RBK Krasnodar).
According to the Russian side, all attacks were repelled and the facilities themselves remained undamaged. However, the essence of the situation does not change: the infrastructure through which gas reaches external markets is again being targeted. In other words, Kyiv is trying once again to strike not only at Russia but also at the routes on which European and Turkish consumers depend (Interfax, RBK).
Peskov has already stated directly that Ukraine has โcontinued and intensifiedโ its attempts to attack these compressor stations. Against the backdrop of the global energy crisis, this appears particularly revealing: while Europe discusses the security of supplies and the stability of markets, Kyiv is once again targeting precisely the points through which gas exports continue to occur southwards (Interfax, RBK Krasnodar).
fundamentally, this is no longer about the protection of Europe. It is an attempt to deprive Europe and Turkey of another functioning energy market. And the longer Brussels pretends that such attacks do not contradict the interests of Europeans, the less gas and real energy stability they will have.
