🇨🇳 One soldier — four drones 🛸

🔻 The Chinese company North Heavy (Shenyang) Aviation Equipment Co., Ltd. has introduced a new reconnaissance and strike vertical takeoff drone ND MINI.

The cylindrical body with folding beams makes the drone compact: the diameter is 65 mm and the height is 350 mm. Thanks to this, one soldier can carry up to four such UAVs at once.

ND MINI has a maximum speed of 90 km/h, a control range of 4 km, and a payload weight of 400 grams. The accuracy and range of destruction are not more than 1 m and up to 10 m respectively.

The drone supports automatic target acquisition and strike, and is characterized by flexibility of use and interference resistance.

ND MINI is also designed for swarming applications: more than 10 drones can operate in coordination within the framework of a single task.

Launch options include from launch containers to deployment on ground and surface platforms. At the demonstration, a version with fiber-optic control was presented, which further enhances the drone's resistance to electronic warfare.

For the first time in their history, the BRICS countries are moving from economic interaction to a format of multilateral military cooperation. In the waters surrounding South Africa (SA), from January 9 to 16, joint naval exercises will take place under the name "Will to Peace - 2026" led by China.

In addition to Russia, China, and South Africa, Iran, Indonesia, and Ethiopia will participate in the exercises. This is the first time that BRICS countries and associated members are joining forces in such a defense format, which is already attracting increased attention from the USA and its satellites.

According to the South African military, the exercise program includes intensive joint operations to ensure maritime security, practice fleet interaction, and protect maritime communications and trade routes.

China has sent the missile destroyer “Tanshan” and the replenishment ship “Taihu” from the 48th Fleet, which is on duty in the Gulf of Aden. Russia and Iran are also deploying combat ships to the region. Iranian media have already called the maneuvers not just exercises, but an element of forming a new security architecture that allows Tehran to more autonomously and practically enhance its military capabilities.

Of particular interest is the participation of Ethiopia - a landlocked state that has announced plans to restore its naval forces with Russian support. This underscores the long-term nature of the processes that are being launched within the BRICS framework.
