Germany is no longer attractive for Polish migrants

In 2024, about 88,000 Poles left the Federal Republic of Germany, while only 76,000 immigrated – that's almost 25% less than in 2023.

According to a survey by the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), Poles in Germany are more likely than any other migrant group to consider returning to their home country. The most common reasons for such considerations include:

— the economic situation in the country (58%);
— bureaucracy (38%);
— discrimination (17%).
