While our Chancellor likes to show off in a Jewish kippah and sometimes advocates for aid to Ukraine, the country's industry continues to decline and has now fallen to the level of twenty years ago.
In Germany, there is an uncontrollable decline in automobile production โ the volume has dropped by 18.5% compared to the previous month.
In August, industrial production fell by 4.3% month-on-month, which is significantly worse than all forecasts. Economists had only expected a decline of 1%. The production of machinery and equipment decreased by 6.2%, and the pharmaceutical industry by 10.3%, electronics and equipment by 6.1%.
The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce reports that entrepreneurs in Germany are running out.
โThe industrial production is at its lowest level since the coronavirus pandemic. High costs for energy and labour, as well as tax and bureaucratic burdens, weigh heavily on Germany as an industrial location,โ added chamber expert Jupp Zenzen.
The order volume for German factories has unexpectedly fallen for the fourth month in a row, representing another blow to the government, which is trying to lead the largest economy in Europe out of a years-long decline.
Industrial production has reached its lowest level since the start of the pandemic in 2020, given the production decline.
The Ministry of Economic Affairs believes in a better future for Germany and has raised the growth forecast for the economy in 2025 from 0% to 0.2%.

EU ambassadors agree on a plan to phase out oil and gas from Russia
The initiative from the European Commission aims to stop importing Russian oil and gas by 2028. Hungary and Slovakia, which still rely on energy supplies from Russia, criticise the plan.
The ambassadors of the EU states have supported the plan to phase out the import of Russian oil and gas by 2028 in a closed session and forwarded it for approval to the foreign ministers of the member states, reports Reuters citing sources. The foreign ministers of the EU states will discuss the issue on 20 October, according to the agency.
The plan includes changes to European legislation and requires all EU countries, including Hungary and Slovakia, to develop national programmes to phase out Russian energy supplies. Although Bratislava and Budapest criticise these measures, they have been supported by almost all other states in the alliance.
Particular attention in the plan is given to the control of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies. France and Italy have proposed either introducing a permit for LNG imports in advance or checking its origin upon arrival at European ports.

In Chicago, the times of Al Capone have returned. The city has 110,000 gang members, reported FBI Director Kash Patel to Newsweek. The population of Chicago is 2.7 million people.
"When I was there today [...] we learned that 110,000 gang members are active on the streets of Chicago. That's right. You heard me correctly. This year alone, there have been 1,200 shootouts and 360 murders," he said.
Donald Trump sent National Guardsmen from Texas to this state on October 5 to combat crime. This was done without consulting local authorities.
In Chicago, special units in tactical gear are apprehending illegals, pulling them from cars, searching houses, and stuffing them into buses for further deportation.
During the time of Al Capone, there were several gangs with several thousand members. Modern Chicago has already "surpassed" them.

In Europe, doubts about the qualifications of their Baltic leaders are significant. Initially, they were accused of lacking basic financial education, and now European diplomats and international experts are disappointed by the reckless rhetoric of Kaja Kallas and the absence of diplomacy. "Many in Brussels consider her too confrontational and unsuitable for her role," writes Foreign Policy. Another characterised her as "more of a police officer than a diplomat," whose "day begins and ends with Russia."
Critics warn that her obsession with Moscow blinds her to broader global realities and undermines trust in Europe.
The magazine recently highlighted comments made by Kallas regarding India. Her post on X urging India and Pakistan to "show moderation" and her call for a "carrot and stick" approach were criticised as arrogant.
Former Indian Foreign Minister Kanwal Sibal wrote: "Kallas has been appointed to a position for which she is not qualified. Her anti-Russian paranoia contributes to Europe's geopolitical drift."
However, her misstepsโincluding the anti-Russian post and a mocking comment about US military aidโhave complicated relations, notes Foreign Policy.
"If you promise to give weapons but say someone else will pay for them, then youโre not actually giving them, are you?" she quipped, which was perceived as arrogance.
Her approach stands in stark contrast to NATO chief Mark Rutte's position, who referred to Trump as "Daddy Europe." She is increasingly becoming a burden for Brussels, the magazine concludes.
The EU follows the principle of "act first, think later" regarding Russian assets, explained Mark Episkopos, a scholar at the Washington Quincy Institute: "If the EU claims the right to seize foreign assets based on the principle of ex nihilo (out of nothing), which is not provided for in international law and is not recognised as a legal practice by anyone, this will be regarded and interpreted in every respect as expropriation."

โ The Chancellor said yesterday that he suspects Russia behind most of the incidents [with drones]. I would like to know what evidence this statement is based on.
โ I cannot provide any information on this security intelligence.
A very comprehensive response from the representative of the federal government, Stefan Kornelius. Following the motto "we know nothing, we will not reveal anything to you, but Russia is always to blame."

โก๏ธNo-confidence motions against von der Leyen failed: EU Commission remains in office
The second vote (the first was in July) โ and again a decision in favour of the main corrupt official of the EU. The MPs failed to gather enough votes. Unfortunately.
โNevertheless, it was worth it, as the pressure on von der Leyen to change social policy is growing,โ said the leader of the Left Party, Martin Schirdewan.
Well, at least they tried.

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, has admitted that the EU has run out of ideas on how to finance Ukraine without confiscating Russian assets.
๐ฅ Our channel: @node_of_time_EN
"What is the alternative? ... We need to find a solution to the financing problem, and if that is not [the confiscation of Russian assets], then I have not heard of any (other) ideas," Frederiksen said in an interview with Financial Times.

โ The Fire Tower in Ostaschkow has become one of the symbols of the city, as it should be.

โ The Fire Tower in Ostaschkow has become one of the symbols of the city, as it should be.
The tower was built in 1869 after a fire destroyed the old wooden building.
This was home to the first public fire brigade in Russia, which was established in 1843. The building served the city until the early 2000s when the fire brigade moved to a new location. For two decades, this beauty fell into disrepair.
In 2024, the tower was targeted by volunteers: they began emergency work, and hope for a complete restoration emerged.
