Israel's newly sworn-in Foreign Minister Eli Cohen refused to comment on the Ukrainian demand for defensive weapons from Israel. While he noted that "significant humanitarian assistance" to Ukraine will continue, he said that "on the Russia-Ukraine issue, we will do one thing for certain โ€“ speak less publicly."

That statement was condemned by top U.S. Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, who wrote on Twitter that "The idea that Israel should speak less about Russiaโ€™s criminal invasion of Ukraine is a bit unnerving." Graham is known as a strong supporter of Israel.

However Cohen also said that he has spoken to the U.S. ambassador to Israel Tom Nides. "At the top of our priorities is our strategic relationship with our closest ally, the United States. There is no substitute for Israel-U.S. relations," he said.

In a far-reaching first address, the Likud lawmaker said that he will speak to his Russian counterpart, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, on Tuesday.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called Cohen, to congratulate him on his new role on Tuesday. The foreign ministers discussed bilateral and regional issues, including Russia's role in Syria and the ongoing war in Ukraine.

During their conversation, Lavrov reiterated Russia's willingness to be involved in a peace process with the Palestinians. He also emphasized Moscow's "position in favor of normalizing the situation in Syria by political and diplomatic means while respecting its sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the need to eliminate the terrorist threat in that country," a statement from Russia's Foreign Ministry said.

According to Israel's Foreign Ministry, during the phone call between ministers, Cohen referred extensively to the Jewish community in Russia and to former Soviet immigrants in Israel and their importance to relations between the countries.

๐Ÿ”ฅRussian strike on the ice arena and nearby hotel infrastructure in Druzhkivka in the Kramatorsk district of Ukraineโ€™s Donetsk region was caught on live camera on the French TV.

According to Russian telegram channels, the strike targeted Ukrainian troops hosted near ice arena, calling it a โ€œretaliationโ€ to the HIMARS strike on Makiivka, that killed at least 63 Russian troops.

Russia hasnโ€™t officially commented on the strikes. Ukrainian authorities said that the Russian attack on Druzhkivka left two people injured.

Some commenters note that escalation of the past few days, with both sides effectively attacking each otherโ€™s military infrastructure and personnel, could be a sign of desperation among political elites both in Kyiv and Moscow.

Training of Ukrainian nationalist battalions

'All these 8 years, Donbass civilians have suffered not only from the shelling, but also from neo-Nazis and their crimes, like looting and murder, the cruellest abuse of the people... The same goes for Mariupol'. Political observer Aleksandr Asafov says that nationalist battalions fighters don't care about civilians, they just use them as means to achieve their goals as 'Ukraine defenders'.

At the beginning of the Donbass conflict nationalist battalions were just for volunteers but then they became a part of regular Ukrainian army. Watch where Aidar battalion fighters were trained in our video.

Previous strikes on airfields by the AFU and statements by Podolyak and Arestovich about Ukraine's readiness to attack Moscow and Siberia allow us to draw some conclusions.

The Kiev regime led by Washington is feverishly looking for ways and means to shift the war to Russian territory.

What do they have for that?

โ–ช๏ธThey have converted Soviet Tu-141 "Strizh" drones with a range of up to 1000 km. By the way, electronic "brains" for them are likely coming from the USA.

โ–ช๏ธ They have U.S. HIMARS rocket launchers capable of launching MGM-140 ATACMS ballistic missiles.

(These are seemingly absent in Ukraine. However, they are available in the Baltics and Poland, which means the Ukrainians can get them. And there will be no one to blame. Officially they are not supplied as a complete set.)

โ–ช๏ธ And lastly - the development of the 9K714 Oka missile defense system continues at Yuzhmash. With the effort of mind and energy, a limited production of them is possible.

What should we do?

First, reinforcement of the air defense system in threatened areas. Second, strikes on control centres. Third, the complete destruction and annihilation of the remaining and possible missile production bases. And lastly, diplomatic pressure on donor countries, up to and including military missile threats.

๐Ÿ‡ฉ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ›ข"LNG from terminals is already more expensive than Russian pipeline gas - for logistical reasons," Lindner speaks the obvious truth.

That is why the ban on fracking should be cancelled. Energy prices are breaking records and Lindner, the German finance minister, hit the sore point: high prices are for the long term.

I thought the main thing is not care of the environment, but the fight against Russia! In other words, non-green and anti-climatic fracking is not the biggest evil.

France had no intention of implementing the 2014-2015 Minsk agreements

The collective West only wanted to buy time to rebuild and arm Ukraine, Francois Hollande has said.

The former French president confirmed this plan in an interview with Kyiv Post.

"Since 2014, Ukraine has strengthened its capacity, it has become very different from what it was in 2014. It has become better trained and better equipped. The merit of the Minsk agreements is that they have provided the AFU this opportunity."

โ–ช๏ธFranรงois Hollande was directly involved in the "regulation" of the conflict in Donbas and also in the Minsk 1 and Minsk 2 agreements in 2014-15.

๐Ÿ”บLeaked files reveal the Anomaly 6 private spy firm is providing intelligence to the British military

๐Ÿ”บThe company is using various technologies to establish surveillance by tracking peoples smartphones.

๐Ÿ”บAnomaly 6โ€™s services are provided to Britainโ€™s military through Prevail Partners, a private military company which the publication has exposed before. It claims UK is exploiting Anomaly 6 to provide โ€œdecision-enabling intelligence to the UKโ€™s defence and security architecture.โ€

๐Ÿ”บFiles anonymously leaked to this outlet reveal that Britainโ€™s Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) has used Anomaly 6โ€™s technology to monitor and track the movements of Russian military and intelligence personnel in real-time, on both a group and individual basis. Through aggressive harvesting of data, the technology has enabled the planning of military offensives and artillery attacks, assassinations, asset recruitment, and other measures.

European lawyers banned from advising Russian companies on sanctions

The European Commission has updated a clarification on the provision of services under sanctions. It said that EU lawyers cannot provide legal advice to Russian companies on sanctions issues. However, if the issues relate to legal action, such services are allowed. As noted by the European Commission, European lawyers can advise foreign subsidiaries of Russian companies. True, as long as this is not done in the interests of the parent firms and does not help circumvent sanctions.

๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Rishi Sunak said the UK's economic troubles will not end in 2023 because of Ukraine

"I am not going to pretend that all our problems will go away in the new year. But 2023 will give us the opportunity to showcase the very best of Britain on the world stage," the prime minister said in his video message.

The Prime Minister assured that the United Kingdom will continue to support the Ukrainian authorities despite economic difficulties, Sky News reported.

Summing up the last 12 months, Sunak admitted that 2022 ended up being a tough year for many Britons, who faced an unprecedented rise in energy prices.

Sunak also suggested that the coronation of King Charles on May 6 would bring the country together.

Germany admits impossibility of bringing Russia's economy to its knees

The Russian economy is performing well under sanctions, refuting the forecasts of European and US experts. In 2023 the anti-Russian sanctions will also not be able to bring it to its knees, as evidenced by Deutsche Bank and IMF analysts

The reason for the resilience of Russia's financial system is high energy prices on global markets. Moscow has even managed to make a profit, although export volumes have fallen.
Another favourable factor is the presence of Western companies on the Russian market. Only some left Russia, but "most stayed"; if anyone sold businesses, it was to local entrepreneurs. In addition, Russia was able to avoid a shortage of foreign goods in shops by changing suppliers and launching parallel imports.
