Elon Musk has released the second part of the Twitter censorship exposé.

This time, the technical component of the censorship was revealed. Each account had special statuses. If someone posted objectionable content, their audience reach was artificially reduced.
The censors could arrange a full-fledged shadow ban so that a user's content would not be shown to subscribers. They could put a block on showing the user in search results - slowing down the user's subscriber growth.

Posts from the "right" accounts, on the contrary, were shown more frequently. Those who published unwelcome content were put on the "blacklist" - and over time they could be banned altogether.

The most high-profile decisions involving the banning of celebrities - such as Trump - were made by a small circle of Twitter's top lawyers.

In fact, it's not just about censorship - it's about trying to create a technical model for managing public opinion on a social network. Musk intends to retain some of the technical components of this censorship - but to make them visible to users.

One of the many ways in which the war in Ukraine is tragic is that it's breaking longtime ties between people: family, personal, professional, etc. We've heard many stories of relatives and friends who stop talking to each other because they find themselves on different sides. In that sense, President Putin is right in saying that this conflict is very much like a civil war.

Today's story is about two scientists, one from Russia and one from Ukraine, who used to cooperate, but now they have a major disagreement on the reasons behind the war and its moral aspects.

Globalism - What are the Pros and Cons?

You're all aware of labels and phrases like Globalism, "the world is a small village.", Interconnected, and some satanic organizations like the World Economic Forum, but a subscriber here asked, what really is globalism about? And is there anything redeemable about it?

Globalism refers to something that is, well, global in nature, don't mistake it with the old colonial times of the 19th and 18th century, the term itself only popped into existence after the second world war, before that, usually it was local authorities who were subservient to a higher one (Emirate to a caliphate, or a colony to the homeland), or national and imperial entities asserting their policies and the will of their kings and queen, but globalism after WW2 refers to the post war world that came to be, it was Communism versus Capitalism on the world stage, and Washington and Moscow wanted to plan out how they will win the cold war, and so they were planning global policies based on this, especially the Americans, who wanted a global world that is centric to their views, I don't know if you know that, but at 1948, the US had 50% of the worlds wealth, while only around 5% of the worlds population, so they obviously wanted to stay at the top, no matter what.

Globalism back then just meant an integrated global economic system, and from money it went from trying to integrate the world's economy into the world's politics, and international institutes, and eventually, perhaps, a world government.

Now, I told you what Globalism is, how it began, and how it evolved, now what is it good for?

Globalism as an ideology and aims is detestable, but it's methods and tools are actually quite good if played by the right nations.

Pros : 1) a single economic union that ensures prosperity and welfare of the state's resources and of it's citizens -> you're looking at unions like BRICS, SCO, GCC, and Eurasian Economic Union where national authority is respected but trade and policies are simplified.

2) Exchange of cultures, now notice I said exchange, not replace, I admire some aspects of Russian culture from my personal interactions, and likewise, some Russians I personally know are also impressed by the insights and societal values we have, we don't have to agree on everything, just take what's useful and get along.

3) without globalism, I think people will be limited to the view their nation limits, which to me is slightly wrong, a Christian may want to spread his message, and a Muslim will want to do the same, some nations have historically missed extremely important developments in human history because they were too isolated.

4) also without globalism, none of us would be here, the subscribers of this channel are made up of Serbs, Germans, Russians, Arabs, Brazilians, Indonesians, and Americans, all united in a common idea and having friendly interactions.

So, what are the cons?

If not mentioned in the 4 aspects, it's a con, everything else is just a filthy Jewish trick that wants to eradicate culture, religion, and morals and values.

⚡️⚡️ Key updates on Russia and #UkraineCrisis as on December 13

❗️Territory gains
More than 50% of the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic has been liberated from the Ukrainian military, acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Pushilin, "the task is to liberate the entire territory of the DPR within the constitutional borders." "Our units are doing everything possible to make this happen as quickly as possible," he said.

⭕️Demarche over Russia comments
Baltic states and other European nations upset at comments made by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding security guarantees for Russia formally lodged disapproval and explained their position to France on Monday, diplomats told Reuters.

In an interview with French TV station TF1 on Dec. 3, Macron said Europe needed to prepare its future security architecture and also think "how to give guarantees to Russia the day it returns to the negotiating table."

Those comments were immediately rebuked by Ukraine and Baltic states. The Czech Republic, which holds the EU Council presidency, helped organize support for the formal diplomatic representation, known as a "demarche".

🆓Prisoner swap
US and Russian officials will speak this week about detained American Paul Whelan, a former Marine whose release the Biden administration unsuccessfully sought along with WNBA star Brittney Griner. US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Monday a “conversation at a high level will take place this week” regarding Whelan’s case, but did not specify what day it would occur or which representatives would participate.

President Joe Biden’s administration is facing criticism for negotiating the release of Griner in exchange for notorious arms dealer Viktor Bout, while failing to bring home Whelan, who has been jailed since 2018 on espionage charges the US calls unjustified.

🟠Budapest woes
Hungary on Monday night got EU countries to lower the amount of a proposed funding freeze in exchange for Budapest lifting its veto on key items, including an aid package to Ukraine.

Hungary had been on the cusp of losing €7.5 billion in EU payouts over concerns that the money may aid graft in the country. In protest, Budapest had been blocking both an €18 billion EU aid package for Ukraine and a minimum global corporate tax rate. But on Monday, EU countries agreed to lower the suspension to €6.3 billion.

◾️Next time, please
Russian President Vladimir Putin won’t hold his traditional year-end press conference for the first time in at least a decade. The announcement was made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who added the president “was still expected to talk to reporters, also during foreign visits”. No date has yet been set for Putin’s New Year address to the nation.

While Russian media, including this channel suggested both events are likely to be cancelled long ago, some Western media outlets rushed to link the announcment with Putin’s health.

Sviatohirsk is not happy with Ukrainian occupants

The New York Times has published an article which tells about the city population's negativity towards the return of Kiev's occupying forces to the city. Many residents remember the ruthless shelling by the Ukrainian armed forces this summer.

The city's main asset, Sviatohirsk Monastery of the Caves, belongs to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. The church schism arranged by the Kiev authorities is unlikely to gain the favour of the locals for the occupying Ukrainian troops.

Ukraine's claim to Crimea highlight slim chance of a peace deal

Zelensky claims that "only by retaking Crimea will the war end", the Washington Post says. However, Russia's president has made it clear that encroaching on the peninsula would be a red line for the Kremlin.

▪️The attack on the Crimean bridge has already provoked Moscow into a campaign to bomb Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

There are fears in the West that a Ukrainian military incursion into Crimea could provoke Putin to take decisive action, up to the use of nuclear weapons.

▪️Some Western politicians hope that an agreement to hand over Crimea to Russia could form the basis for a peace treaty.

However, Kiev rejects the idea amid partial successes of the AFU on the front.

▪️ Meanwhile, Ukraine is drawing up plans to expel Russian citizens from Crimea in the event of its assault on the peninsula.

"The unwavering claims to Crimea illustrate the intractability of the conflict, and it is hard to imagine the fight over the peninsula will be resolved without further bloodshed," the Washington Post concludes.

Ukrainian army soldiers in an apartment block on the outskirts of Artemovsk.

Fighting is already taking place on the very outskirts. It's not hard to see that they are "defending" from an area between people's flats. And then they will whine when tanks burn out such sit-ins, stressing that Russians burn down civilian apartments.

P.S. The conversation in Ukrainian doesn't add much value to the video, so we didn't translate it.

What could be worse than parents seeing their children being killed in front of their eyes? I am posting a video which can not leave you indifferent - it is the evidence of war crimes in the Bakhmut sector, from where the wounded are regularly brought to our hospital.

Valentina Ivanovna, an elderly woman from Kurdyumovka, tells us through her tears how Ukrainian soldiers shot her two sons. One of them was killed right in front of her eyes in the yard as his mother was too slow to get the passports out of the house.

Valentina Ivanovna is now safe, she has been evacuated together with her neighbours who have survived.

⚡️⚡️ Key updates on Russia and #UkraineCrisis as on December 14

📊Banks go East
MTS-Bank is the first Russian bank to open a branch in Dubai, Kommersant reports. According to the paper, since UAE has emerged as a popular destination among Russian businessmen and tourists after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine and mobilization, other Russian entities, including developers and retailers, consider expanding there.

Russian banks rarely open branches in foreign countries. Sberbank has a branch in India, and it is planning to open a second one there in 2023. VTB has two branches — in India and China. PSB has had a branch in Cyprus since 2002, but is in the process of closing it.

🚚Make tyres not war
Oil company Tatneft has initiated the approval process for the deal to purchase the tire business of Finland’s Nokian Tyres in Russia (the company used to make 80% of its passenger car tyres in Russia and has been operating in the country since 2005, but decided to exit from the Russian market due to Ukraine events).

Authorities of the Leningrad regions, where the plant is located, say the output should reach 17 million tires per year in the second quarter of 2023, however experts say it may be not easy since the car manufacturing industry is one of the worst hit due to Russia’s invasion in Ukraine and following sanctions.

🩸Oil flow
Indian refiners may be able to source most of their Russian oil purchases at a rate lower than the West's price cap of $60 after international prices fell, Economic Times reports.

Multiple government officials and industry executives said domestic refineries will continue to buy cheap Russian oil with no major shipping or insurance trouble expected as the market rate for the key grade has fallen below the cap. The US and its allies have barred the use of its shipping, insurance and financial services for any Russian oil deal struck above the cap of $60.

"The price cap looks more like a posturing. Even the West may not want Russian oil to go off the market," said MK Surana, the CEO of Ratnagiri Refinery and Petrochemicals and former chairman of HPCL.

🤹‍♀️Prisoner swap pressure
Former President Trump’s ex-national security adviser said that Moscow appeared committed to releasing Paul Whelan and another imprisoned American to improve relations between Washington and Moscow following a meeting in October 2020, The Hill reports.

Robert O’Brien, former national security adviser under Trump, told The Hill that the Russians reneged on the deal that would have freed Whelan and Trevor Reed after Joe Biden was declared the winner of the 2020 presidential election.
“Once we lost the election, the Russians lost all interest” in talking with the Trump administration, O’Brien said.

🐤Twitter war
Ukrainian Presidential Office Advisor Mikhail Podolyak tweeted late Tuesday that "War in Ukraine" had disappeared that mentions of Russia’s “aggression” are curtailed.

“Radical curtailment of tweets mentioning ru-aggression coverage. Users aren’t allowed to register or log into accounts with Ukrainian phone number. @elonmusk, I wonder if will we ever see “Twitter Files” about Fall/Winter 2022?” he asked.

Clayton Hightower - killed "International Legion" mercenary from the United States

The participation of U.S. mercenaries in combat actions on the side of the AFU usually ends with inglorious obituaries. Last week the liquidation of an American, Clayton Hightower, was announced.

▪️The former U.S. Army military man arrived in Ukraine in spring, joining the Normandy Brigade.

▪️According to his commander, Hightower had already taken part in battles for Velyka Novoselka in the DNR in May.

▪️The American did not maintain social media accounts, but frequently appeared on the profile of his compatriot mercenary Lee Johnson.

▪️On December 4, Clayton Hightower, along with Polish mercenaries Janusz Sheremet and Krzysztof Tiefel, was killed at a patrol post east of Kupyansk during a Russian DRG attack.

▪️ On December 10, the remains of Hightower, Sheremet and Tiefel were buried in a cemetery in Kharkiv.

▪️While the U.S. media is studiously ignoring the death of yet another U.S. mercenary, Hightower's half-sister is trying to get his remains repatriated.

First they will burn books, then they start burning people

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed a law banning the use of books in Russian for scientific and educational purposes. It is forbidden even to refer to them. Vladimir Paniotto, a well-known Ukrainian sociologist and philosopher, professor at the Kiev-Mohyla Academy, is perplexed: eight of his books published before 1991 and about 100 articles have fallen under the ban. "How am I supposed to write scholarly articles and books and teach without referring to my work?" - the scientist is indignant, recalling that it is in Russian translation that a huge amount of scientific literature was published. The scientist calls the law anti-Ukrainian and harmful for science and education, and asks the wreckers: "What are you going to do next?
And next will be what Germany went through in 1933: the burning of books in squares.

One of those whose books were burned, Heinrich Heine, warned as early as 1820: "Where they burn books, they will ultimately also burn people"
