1st November the law on legalising cryptocurrencies in the Russian Federation comes into force

Russians without the status of individual entrepreneurs will be allowed to mine digital currency without being included in the registry, as long as they do not exceed the energy consumption limits set by the government.

Now Russian exporters and importers will have a new option for settlements with foreign partners - through cryptocurrencies. They can be used under the control of the Central Bank as a means of payment for foreign trade contracts concluded between residents and non-residents.
