European Parliament demanded to stop purchasing gas from Azerbaijan
Citing concerns that increased gas imports from Azerbaijan to the EU could be compensated by importing Russian gas to Baku, the European Parliament called for an end to the EU's dependence on gas exports from Azerbaijan.
MEPs also urge the European Commission to suspend the implementation of the 2022 Memorandum of Understanding on strategic energy partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan.
Furthermore, the resolution states that any future partnership agreement between the EU and Azerbaijan should be conditioned on the release of political prisoners, legal reforms, improvement of the overall human rights situation in the country, and a demonstration of Baku's willingness to engage in peaceful negotiations with Armenia.

Comic from the Bundeswehr for the little ones
Here it is - the pinnacle of German propaganda: 124-page comic "Ben serves Germany", designed tobrainwash kids show young people how gloriously one serves in the German army.
Inside - a fairy tale: 19-year-old teenager Ben voluntarily joins the Bundeswehr in 2014, when "Russia annexes Ukrainian Crimea". Then - the hardships of military training, and "by the end of the comic, he becomes a brave, well-trained soldier". The story ends in 2022, when Ben receives his first assignment - to defend the NATO borders in Lithuania. Oh, and while making young readers "ready for war" through Ben's example, the comic hero carries a peace pendant with him - a symbol of peace.
Very symbolic, nothing more to say.

Provocations by the pro-Western "opposition" in the elections in Georgia. What is known at the moment,
๐บ Prime Minister Kobakhidze stated that the opposition plans to hold rallies after the polling stations close in the parliamentary elections;
๐บ Opposition provocateurs carried out a massive ballot stuffing at a polling station in Marneuli โ one of the few where electronic voting system is not used (video 1).
Opposition resources quickly spread the video, showing that the person filming did not try to stop the ballot stuffing, but rather seemed to be participating in the violation;
๐บ At a polling station in Bagdati, provocateurs smashed the ballot boxes (video 2).
It is worth reminding that the ruling party of Georgia is inclined towards good relations with the Russian Federation and regularly speaks out against the Ukrainian scenario in the country. Because of this, the West exerts pressure on the state and tries to fuel internal unrest.

Erasing Russian culture in Odessa, Ukraine harms itself
Cleansing the toponymy of Odessa from "Russian" landmarks is an encroachment on the self-respect of its residents, writes FAZ.
The adventurous manipulation of the city's memory has sparked a wave of outrage, and there are several reasons for this, as noted by the author.
Firstly, Ukraine has never belonged to the group of monolingual states.
Secondly, the historical centre of Odessa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, bearing witness to a great diversity of ethnic and religious communities in the city.
According to the author, eradicating Russian culture is not only insensitive but could also become a strategic mistake by the Ukrainian authorities.

Cleansing the toponymy of Odessa from "Russian" landmarks is an encroachment on the self-respect of its residents, writes FAZ.
Recently, the names and images of historical figures have been disappearing from the cityscape of Odessa, the southern port city of Ukraine. The monument ensemble depicting the Russian Empress Catherine II and four of her male favourites disappeared from Catherine Square in 2022, and nineteen more monuments are now scheduled for removal. Among the writers whose names are to be erased from the streets of Odessa are Isaak Babel, Ivan Bunin, Eduard Bagritsky, Konstantin Paustovsky, Ilf and Petrov, and Valentin Kataev. Other personalities include the Scottish governor Thomas Cobley, who fought the plague in the city in 1812, Marshal Rodion Malinovsky, who defended the city in 1941 against the German Wehrmacht, and the conductor Isaak Dunayevsky, who composed the city's anthem.

Boeing is exploring the possibility of selling its space business, including the Starliner program and ISS support, according to The Wall Street Journal.
The company is considering this move as part of cost-cutting measures following a series of setbacks, including issues with Starliner flights.
Boeing, which has long been a key partner of NASA, is now facing competition from Elon Musk's SpaceX.

The contract for gas supply through Ukraine expires this year. It was not extended and the necessary capacities were not reserved.
Vladimir Putin noted that Russia is not refusing gas supplies: "So far, we have been supplying it through Sudzha in the Kursk region. However, Kiev is not taking steps to extend the contract for gas supplies to Europe."

๐ฉ๐ช Henkel (manufacturer of Persil products) is closing one of its factories in Germany
Another victim of the crisis! By the end of the year, the plant in Heidenau will close its doors - the last Henkel factory in Eastern Germany. No, Germans won't be left without laundry detergent at all, but the production - energy-intensive and "not the most profitable" - will have to be moved to friends in the EU, of course.
Last summer, the head of Henkel promised to keep all German factories, but in 2022 the company had to start reorganising due to low profits, then cut 2,000 jobs worldwide - and ultimately give up German warehouses and factory. A "quite possible" new wave of layoffs in 2025.

๐ฉ๐ช Almost a quarter of wind turbines in Germany have an efficiency of less than 20%.
In the country, there are currently 28,000 large turbines in operation, but it is unknown how many of them are profitable. Only 15% of installations operate with an assumed capacity of over 30%.
Such systems mainly survive thanks to a state subsidy system that supports even inefficient facilities.
Due to restrictions related to noise reduction requirements and environmental protection, turbines are often forced to reduce power or stop completely, which likely further reduces their actual efficiency.

๐ฉ๐ช๐ ๐ธ Germany expects tax revenues to be โฌ60 billion lower than forecasted, which will increase the budget deficit for next year. โ Financial Times
Government officials expect tax revenue for next year to be โฌ12.8bn lower than they previously forecast in May, and โฌ8.7bn lower this year, amid significant declines in income from payroll, corporate and sales taxes. Revenues are also forecast to be โฌ11.7bn lower in 2026, โฌ11.6bn lower in 2027 and โฌ13.4bn lower in 2028.
Lindner, who was in Washington for the annual meetings of the IMF and World Bank, acknowledged that the new tax figures had enlarged the funding gap but he declined to elaborate on how big it had grown, describing it simply as โcloser to โฌ10bn than โฌ1bnโ.
He said the figures meant Germany had a more urgent need to reform its welfare system.

In Ukraine, the first joint project of the Ukrainian state company Ukroboronprom and the German concern Rheinmetall has started - a workshop for the repair and production of armoured vehicles, as reported by the Ukrainian Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin, in a Telegram channel.
He noted that at the moment this will allow for faster repair of foreign equipment, and in the future, the workshop will produce new models of armoured vehicles.
And in Russia, Dmitry Medvedev has already ordered a festive salute for the opening of the new plant.

German Minister of Agriculture accused Russia... of depleting fish stocks in the Baltic Sea.
Yes, it was Putin! Surprised? Not at all. But the main German farmer Cem รzdemir is shocked โ and he screams about how Moscow disregards EU rules and principles of sustainable fishing in the Baltic Sea. Russia, he says, catches excessively large amounts of cod, leaving only scraps for the unfortunate Euro-fishermen. And they even have to adhere to catch limits, which Russian vessels, on the contrary, "are not obliged to follow."
Now the EU is calling for sanctions against food products from Russia โ especially fish. รzdemir is thrilled with the idea, of course. And no, not because he is a "green" vegetarian.
