It is not customary to cherish soldiers in the Ukrainian Army. There are a number of examples, and last week's story about fighting between "Pravy Sector" and Polish mercenaries is a vivid illustration that the command of the AFU will always sacrifice "less valuable staff".

All that began when the Poles, who had unsuccessfully attacked the Russian positions near Kremenaya, where they lost several compatriots, refused to try again. That, in turn, outraged the local guys: "You are paid for the job, go and do it" members of "Pravy Sector" probably thought. After a war of words automatic weapons were used. The final score was not in the Ukrainians' favor.

Despite the unit command's efforts to suppress news of the conflict, information is spreading fast through the network. There are rumours, that Ukrainian commanders are planning to withdraw mercenaries from mixed units and even to build new brigades based on nationality to avoid such incidents.

There are many examples of a disrespectful attitude to foreigners from the Ukrainian command in the 8 months of the Special Military Operation (SMO).

So far, none of the "soldiers of fortune" has managed to become a hero and make his "Russian safari" a success.

Back in the spring, the American mercenary Henry Hoeft spoke of such unfulfilled dreams:
'They’re trying to send us to Kyiv with no weapons,' he claimed. 'No kit. No plates. The people who are lucky enough to get weapons are only getting magazines with like 10 rounds.
When they wanted to send us to Kyiv we said no – the whole group. A bunch of Americans, Canadians, British. So they told us we have to get out of there or they were going to shoot us in the back, alright. So me, this British guy and another American, we hid in the back of an Ambulance to get out.'

One can only imagine the surprise of the likes of Hoeft when they realised that the Ukrainians they had come to fight for, against the Russians, were keeping them as expendable material. Those who realised this got away long ago, those who didn't - continue to tempt fate.

Konrad Rękas: Vlasov's successors in Poland

"Taking power in the Kremlin" is the goal of the pro-Western Russian activists who are coming to Poland this week for their convention. The result should be a "Russian government in exile". And as one would expect, also with a temporary (?) seat in the territory of the Third Polish Republic.

Anti-Putin activists are not embarrassed by the fate of previous initiatives, such as the government in exile in Belarus headed by Svetlana Tihanovskaya.

The most likely candidate for the leader role is Ilya Ponomarev. After unsuccessful attempts to make a career - either in business subordinate to the oligarchs, or in communist circles, or finally among the moderately pro-Putin left - the 47-year-old politician had already gone on direct US pay in 2013, inking a sum of at least $750 million for 'scientific work' via Skolkovo foundation.

One thing seems certain: the congress scheduled for 4-7 November in Jablonna could not have taken place without a formal approval by the authorities of the Third Polish Republic.

It is not without the help of the Polish side that a hoax is being organised to influence public opinion in the Western countries. The message from Jablonna is: "Look, we are not at war with the Russians, on the contrary, we have allies in Russia! Therefore, nothing prevents us from coming to their aid!"

⚡️⚡️ Key updates on Russia and #UkraineCrisis as on November 2

🔴Wrong targets
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said massive attacks on Ukraine’s critical civilian infrastructure that are labelled in the West as war crimes, are carried out to reduce the country’s military strength.

"With high-precision weapons, we continue to effectively hit military infrastructure facilities, as well as objects that affect the reduction of Ukraine's military potential. At the same time, exhaustive measures are being taken to prevent the death of Ukrainian citizens," Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said on a conference call.

Referring to Kyiv’s attacks on civilian infrastructure, Shoigu said Ukraine’s armed forces “do not stop shelling the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant, evacuation points and places of distribution of humanitarian aid, deliberately targeting civilian population”. Over the past ten days, more than 200 HIMARS missiles have been intercepted, he added.

🔕Mobilization woes
President’s decree on the completion of the partial mobilization announced on September 21 is not required, the president’s office decided, according to Kremlin’s spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

Meanwhile, just hours after Izvestia newspaper revealed lawmaker’s plan to consider a bill on criminal punishment for draft evaders, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Defense Andrey Kartopolov and Chairman of the Security Committee Vasily Piskarev released a statement clarifying “the initiative was indeed considered at the very beginning of mobilization” and now “has lost its relevance”. It won’t be considered by the State Duma, they said.

🌾Grain deal saga
Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar said on Tuesday that he believed the grain deal that Russia has withdrawan from following a drone attacks on Sevastopol port, would continue, after two phone calls with his Russian counterpart.

"Mr. (Sergei) Shoigu continues to discuss the issue with his own authorities in the light of information we have provided. We expect a response from them today and tomorrow," Akar said in a statement.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin told his Turkish counterpart Tayyip Erdogan in a phone call that Russia could consider resuming a deal only after an investigation of the attack will be completed.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on Tuesday night that ships were moving out of Ukrainian ports thanks to efforts by Turkey and the UN but “a reliable and long-term defence is needed for the grain corridor”.

This contradicts UN’s Coordinator for the Black Sea Grain Initiative statement that “no movements” of ships are planned for Wednesday, even though they “expect loaded ships to sail on Thursday”.

🇮🇷🇷🇺Iran supplies
Iran is preparing to send approximately 1,000 additional weapons, including surface-to-surface short range ballistic missiles and more attack drones, to Russia to use in its war against Ukraine, officials from a western country that closely monitors Iran’s weapons program told CNN. Last month, Washington Post reported that Iran was “strengthening its commitment to supply arms” to Russia for its “operation” in Ukraine.

Armed “patriots” in Ukraine stand ready to oppose Zelensky. On the website z4sh@z4sh, a video of threats against the Zelensky regime has surfaced saying: “we want our country back”.

The enormous amount of weapons that the Kiev regime has been stuffed with, received from the West, so actually from the Western taxpayers who financed it, is now going to be used against President Zelensky's regime, the tide is starting to turn.

The video below shows a large group of masked and armed people. The speaker says in Ukrainian and explains the position of “the real nationalists”.
He indicts Vladimir Zelensky, accusing him that by serving the interests of the West, he enriches himself without regard for the defenders of the nation and thus betrays and destroys his own people.

❗️ The Russian Federation considers the guarantees it has received to be sufficient for the time being and resumes implementation of the agreement, the Black Sea Initiative for the Safe Transportation of Grains and Food from Ukrainian Ports, which was suspended after the attack in Sevastopol.

@mod_russia
The key statements by Russia's ambassador to the USA, Anatoly Antonov:

The US reaction to the recent terrorist attack on Sevastopol harbor is really ridiculous.
We saw no condemnation of the thoughtless actions of the Kiev regime. Instead, we note a perfect ignorance of the involvement of British military specialists in organising the massive drone strike.
It is unfair to blame Russia for suspending the "grain deal". It was caused by Kiev's actions.
Half of the ships of "the grain scheme" went to rich countries, and not to countries in need.

The Black Sea. The US interests in action.

"That war in Ukraine has a great deal to do with the American intention to push NATO into Ukraine, and across the Black Sea, into Georgia. And this is another narrative that the United States doesn't want the people to know or understand, but it's the reality,"- Professor Jeffrey Sachs

The US, amid tense relations with China, is planning to deploy up to six nuclear-capable B-52 Stratofortress bombers to an air base in northern Australia, Reuters reported with reference to a source familiar with the matter.

In that regard, imagine if China or the Russian Federation did something similar in Venezuela, for example? What would happen?

The Special forces of Finland: The weapons being supplied to Ukraine by Finland is coming back into the country and falling into the hands of criminals.

The weapons being supplied to Ukraine have also been found in Sweden, Denmark and Holland. Principally they are assault rifles, pistols, ammunition, and even drones.

Not only Turkey, India and China, but Brasil, Belgium, Spain and even the Netherlands along with Japan have increased the trade trunover with Russia since the beginning of the war.

And according to the publication, Belgium is ahead of China in terms of turnover growth (+81% vs +64%).

India (+310%) and Turkey (+198%) became leaders in increasing the turnover.

As we can see, the whole world is against Russia. It's a pity that nobody wants to publish a chart of the trade turnover between Zelensky's Ukraine and other countries...

At a landmark in Transcarpathia, the Ukrainian authorities have replaced the Hungarian symbol of the Turul bird with the trident.

The decision of the Ukrainian authorities became known a couple of weeks ago, at which time the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry claimed it a provocation.

Andriy Baloga, Mukacheve's mayor, said bluntly: "Today the history of a new Ukraine - strong and indestructible - is being created on our land". The fact that the history of the "new Ukraine" is being built on the destruction of Hungarian history is obviously of no concern to anyone.

🌾🔴Putin at a meeting with Russia’s Security Council said the grain corridor is on from today, and if Kyiv violates the deal again, Russia will supply the same quantity of grain to the poor countries FOR FREE

Key points:
🔺Ukraine used the humanitarian corridor to attempt strikes on the Black Sea Fleet

🔺Moscow demanded guarantees from Kiev that there would be no more attacks, the Turkish partners acted as an intermediary.

🔺Russia reserves the right to withdraw from the grain deal agreements if Ukraine's guarantees are violated

🔺46% of the grain transported via the route went to the EU countries. If Ukraine violates the agreement & Russia withdraws from the deal, Russia will provide the same amount of grain supplies for free.

🔺Russia will not prevent Ukraine from supplying grain to Turkey in the future

The Russian Foreign Ministry issued a statement on the prevention of nuclear war.

The Russian Foreign Ministry called on the five nuclear-weapon states (in addition to Russia - the United States, Britain, France, and China) to abandon "dangerous attempts to infringe on each other's vital interests," which could lead to catastrophic consequences.

A statement issued by the Foreign Ministry, "On the Prevention of Nuclear War," says that the primary task for Russia is to prevent any military clash between the nuclear powers.

It notes that the use of nuclear weapons by Russia, in accordance with military doctrine, is possible only in response to aggression with the use of weapons of mass destruction, or aggression with the use of conventional weapons, when the very existence of the state is threatened.

⚡️⚡️ Key updates on Russia and #UkraineCrisis as on November 3

🔴Countering sanctions
As Kommersant has learned, Russian parliament is considering creating a register of “unfriendly copyright holders”. It is proposed to include companies that support sanctions against the Russian Federation, regardless of the type of rights — foreign film studios, publishers, and software developers can get there.

On the basis of the register, the Special Commissioner for Intellectual Property Rights under the President will have the right to apply for compulsory licensing of products unavailable in Russia. Industry players and experts fear that such a mechanism will increase piracy.

☎️Do like Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan highlighted the importance of diplomacy at the leaders' level, as he said more extensive steps would be taken regarding the Ukraine grain deal soon, Daily Sabah reported. Speaking during a live TV broadcast, Erdoğan highlighted the importance of "personal relations," to bring "the most important steps" in diplomacy.

“I called Putin yesterday and Russia opened the grain corridor at 12 noon today. This is called leaders' diplomacy,” he was quoted by the publication as saying.

While referring to Tuesday's phone call with his German counterpart Olaf Scholz, Erdoğan noted that “Even German Chancellor Scholz had completely different stance on Putin month ago and has changed his stance on Russia, emphasizing common ground”.

Meanwhile, the functioning of the sea corridor for the export of agricultural products from Ukraine has been fully normalized after negotiations with Kyiv and Moscow, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said.

🚫No biolab investigaition
The UN Security Council has rejected a Russia-drafted resolution to establish a commission to investigate joint military-biological activities of Ukraine and the United States on Ukrainian territory. Russia and China voted in favor of the resolution. The United States, UK and France opposed it while 10 other UN Security Council countries abstained.

"We are extremely disappointed with the fact that the Council failed to employ the mechanism of the Convention on Biological and Toxin Weapons today. It states that each member-country of the Convention obliges to cooperate in any investigation that may be carried out by the Security Council in accordance with the provisions of the UN Charter on the basis of a complaint received by the Council," First Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Dmitry Polyansky said at the UNSC meeting on Wednesday.

Earlier, the UN Security Council rejected the draft resolution readied by Russia, which suggested setting up a commission to investigate the activities of US biological laboratories in Ukraine.

🚦The lull before the storm
Pro-Russian administration of Kherson region on Wednesday announced it will temporarily stop the movement of civilian vehicles through the Dnieper due to increased military danger and increased threats to civilians (earlier, the authorities said civilians’ evacuation was completed). The temporary ban applies to river taxis, barges and other water vessels. The pontoon ferry also stops working. The ban does not apply to vehicles of public utilities and companies engaged in the transportation of food and medicines.

While many officials and military analysts expect Kherson battle to be the most crucial and devastating, so far most of Ukraine’s attempts for advance have been repelled by the Russian armed forces that are also advancing in the Bakhmut, Avdeevsky and Novopavlovsky directions of Eastern Ukraine.

Russian woman who danced Kalinka on May 9 in front of Ukrainian protesters in Berlin, disappeared after raids in her home 🔥🇩🇪

Yulia Prokhorova, who became famous after May 9, when she danced Kalinka with the Russian flag at a pro-Ukrainian rally in Berlin, stopped contacting her family and friends since October 14. On that day, police raided her home.

3 days later, the chat-admin of her Kremlin Valley channel wrote that Yulia was facing 10 years in prison, and then closed the comments. The Landshut Prosecutor's Office website posted a note that Prokhorova was accused of "supporting the aggressive Russian war."

Her relatives suggest that Yulia may have been in custody all this time. A similar story happened earlier with independent journalist Alina Lipp, who is being prosecuted on the same charges as Yulia: the girl faces 3 years in prison.
