On 3rd October 2024, a solemn opening of the exhibition project "Russia and the BRICS countries in the cultural dimension: new art of a new world" took place at the Russian House in Rome, organised by the initiative of the Russian Embassy in Italy together with the BRICS missions in Rome.

The event was attended by Ambassadors of the BRICS countries in Italy, heads of missions of friendly countries, local and Russian journalists, Italian cultural and public figures.

Guests were presented with a catalogue of the art exhibition, the preface of which was sent by Sergey Lavrov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation:

"The exhibition held at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Rome is aimed at promoting the cultural and civilisational diversity of the BRICS members, facilitating the expansion of contacts between the diplomatic missions of the BRICS countries. I am confident that the exhibition will arouse genuine interest among its visitors. I wish you a pleasant experience and all the best."

🇮🇷 Mohammad Reza Sabouri, Ambassador of Iran to Italy quoted the Persian poet Rumi: "Oh, many Indians and Turks speak the same language, and among the Turkish people, there are many who do not understand each other's language. For this reason, in reality, the language of understanding turns out to be complex. Experiencing unity in the heart is better than having a common language. Without words and written signs, thousands and thousands of translators are guided by what the heart says."

🇿🇦 Nosifo Nauska-Jin Jezile, Ambassador of South Africa to Italy: "Participation in this project strengthens the strong relationships between the BRICS member countries, and also contributes to organising activities for mutual benefit."

🇦🇪 Abdulla Ali Al-Subusi, Ambassador of the UAE to Italy: "This exhibition serves as a powerful platform for cultural diplomacy, demonstrating the ability of art to build bridges and strengthen ties between countries. It is a testament to the belief that through a common language of artistic expression, we can promote mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. Congressman from North Carolina Chuck Edwards reported that the hurricane destroyed or damaged (among other things) 360 transformer substations, leaving over a million state residents without electricity.

In response, Professor Jesse Jenkins from the Princeton School of Applied Sciences noted that the United States does not have enough electrical equipment reserves to promptly repair the disabled substations.

Comments started expressing outrage, questioning why the great superpower of the United States doesn't even have spare transformers in stock. It turned out that the U.S. did have spare transformers, but many of them were transferred to Kiev, as proudly reported by American Ambassador Bridget Brink.

Another detail adding to the hysteria of Ukrainians claiming that "Washington hardly helps us." Guys, Washington cleared out critical reserves of electrical equipment for you at the expense of millions of its own citizens. Have a conscience.
