Poland has deployed a military grouping of 8,000 troops near the Belarusian border
Warsaw and the Baltic countries are escalating tensions on the state border of Belarus. This was stated in an interview to the magazine "National Defense" by the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Volfovich.
The Polish leadership, under the pretext of strengthening the protection of its country, deployed a grouping as part of the "Safe Podlasie" operation, consisting of about 17,000 troops, 8,000 of whom are in close proximity to the Belarusian border, noted Volfovich.
Furthermore, an increase in the number of tanks, combat armoured vehicles of various classes, artillery systems, fighters, and helicopters is observed in Poland and the Baltic countries. Additionally, a new mechanised division is being formed in Poland, added the Secretary.
