At 𝗡𝗕-𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛, we are deeply saddened by the recent earthquake in Myanmar and the devastating loss of life. In response, we are developing an innovative solution aimed at saving lives in the event of future earthquakes.

Our device leverages the speed difference between secondary seismic waves and radio waves to provide early warnings within a critical 𝗼𝗻𝗲-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲 gap. This small time difference can make all the difference in saving lives, especially in urban areas like 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮, where the earthquake's epicenter is just a few kilometers away.

We are excited to be working alongside two brilliant students from 𝗔𝗱𝗱𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝗯𝗮 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗔𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗨). Together, we've completed the first phase of testing and are now entering real-time trials to fine-tune the system.

As we move forward, we are open to feedback and suggestions to enhance this technology further. Our goal is to deploy this device in key locations within Addis Ababa and turn it into an essential public alert system that can help protect communities in future seismic events.
