We are not able to conduct Senate meeting due to recent nationwide lockdown for fighting against COVID-19. So decision on reopening of institute and schedule of end sem exam etc is still pending. So, do not believe in any rumour. All circulars in this regard will be circulated to all students by group email and/or posted at institute website.

Someone has allegedly forged the signature of our Registrar and today issued a false circular on reopening of institute and dates of end sem exam. Forgery of signature is a crime. We are now investigating and action will be taken against him. Anyone found in forwarding such false information may also be punished.

Dilip Kumar Patel takes over as Director (HR), NTPC

Shri Dilip Kumar Patel has taken charge as Director (HR) of NTPC today (01.04.2020).

Shri Patel has had an illustrious career spanning over more than three decades including both line and HR functions. After gaining work experience in (Mechanical Maintenance & CHP Operation) and Employee Development Centre (EDC) at Korba, he took a leap in his career and switched to core HR functions in 1997. He looked after various dimensions of HR at Korba and subsequently moved on to become the Head of HR at Koldam where the first hydro project of NTPC was launched.

Shri Patel had been the HR Head in various NTPC projects like NSPCL Bhilai, Sipat, and Tanda for around 12 years. He was also the Regional Head of HR in the Eastern Region-2, before he was appointed as the Director (HR).

Shri Patel graduated in Mechanical Engineering from NIT, Rourkela in 1986 and did his Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (HR & Finance) from MDI, Gurgaon. He is a native of Sundargarh, Odisha. He studied his Intermediate in Science (+2 Science) in Govt. College, Sundargarh.
