13 of the 20 GOP reps who previously voted against Kevin McCarthy flipped their votes this round & voted for Kevin McCarthy this time.
He just picked up 14 more votes. If he gets 4 more, he’ll be Speaker.

Congratulations to the MAGA Caucus (not Marjorie) on securing an historic deal with McCarthy… time will tell if this is a step in the right direction or just business as usual.
Quite honestly I would have liked to not see Kevin McCarthy become Speaker, but we’ll see if the deal was worth it.
Generally, people are far too quick to capitulate and very uncomfortable with disruption. I would have loved to see this drag on for months.
