"For a human being who hungers for truth, what is most beautiful is that which is most truthful. If the road to truth means having to learn what is untrue and to face unconsciousness and obstacles within ourselves, the lover of truth gladly accepts the challenge. Each time we expose and face that which is untrue, we are that much closer to what is true."

– M. Caplan
Found this gem on the Life Stylist podcast:

"And so, when we've been taught to think about things and interpret the world in a certain way, like for example, being taught that it's not okay to express anger, which is one of the most common things that many of us are taught growing up, because it scares other people, or because blah, blah, blah, that you're not supposed to—it's an unacceptable emotion - or sadness, for instance, then what happens is; you don't feel safe expressing it, you don't feel safe talking about it with anyone, and where does that emotion go? Well, it certainly doesn't go away. It ends up getting turned inward on yourself, right? It actually gets stored up in your body [....] It's those emotions when not let out and not acknowledged as the signals that they are; get then turned inward on us, and then we end up taking that anger and that sadness out on ourselves, which becomes guilt and shame, and then disrupts our sense of safety, and self-efficacy, and empowerment even more."

May all of us, imperfect as we are, be met with love.

May we forgive ourselves for all our mistakes and all the injustices done to us, and may we embrace it that in our adulthood, we are authorized to fix what we no longer like, and do so from the heart, with passion, as creators and dignified participants of this world.

May we remember that the universe wants our dignity, our love and our courage, not our withdrawal or guilt!

May we remember that we are authorized to leave behind other people’s helpless trash this very second, and that the point has always been teaching us a skill, not making us hurt and molded by the world.

May we realize that we are good.

May we realize that we don’t have any obligation to dance with the wound any longer—but instead, we can honor our spirit and turn all the imperfections into awe and joy.

We’ve suffered enough. It’s time to straighten out our souls and celebrate our heart.

May all the fear retreat!

May we remember that love has a mysterious power to heal, if we insist on it and weather the storms with courage and patience.

May we forgive the ones who hurt us out of stupidity or fear.

May we forgive the ones who are slow to understand.

May we remember the world in which it’s legal to enjoy the sweetness without guilt, and where the expected payment is honor and gratitude.

May the sweet things find us, and may we have the humility to accept them.

Let it be so.

The more I work with myself and others the more I realize what masters we all are at 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.⁣

Study yourself.⁣

Your motives.⁣
Your justifications.⁣
Your judgements.⁣
Your expectations.⁣
Your split energy.⁣
Your pettiness.⁣
Your jealousy.⁣
Your ill wishes for others.⁣
Your disingenuous tendencies.⁣
Your secret efforts to manipulate and control others.⁣

𝗚𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽.⁣

Be radically willing to notice unlovely patterns within yourself.⁣

Get 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 with yourself.⁣

Become intensely curious about how you keep ending up in familiar situations.⁣

If you’re not shocked by what you see, you’re not doing it right.⁣

If you think you’re a “pretty good person” who doesn’t do these kinds of things, you are in a 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.⁣

The way out of the maze of human confusion is through the uncomfortable 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 of these sneaky, deceptive patterns.⁣

⁣This is the realest self work you will ever do.⁣

Say it out loud. Empower yourself. Feel it in every bone of your body.
Face your fears. We will be free again. I know it in my heart.
