Refusing to put a cap on refugees is typical of how the Irish State operates nowadays. No boundaries, no restraint, no long-term thinking. Just commitments to meet absurd targets on the basis of waves of ideological conformity, with no regard for infrastructural or human capacity. "No cap" is as good as saying "no plan". Limited resources cannot accommodate limitless stupidity.

Hate-crime legislation is a ploy to keep NGOs in business and give designated minorities a higher court of appeal than mere Irish people. The same NGOs push open-borders migration and paint a halo over the head of every foreigner. Their working assumption is that guilt lies with the core culture, i.e. Irish people. Sometimes they need to be reminded that foreigners are people too.

Ireland doesn't need hate-crime legislation. It needs to reverse its permissive attitude towards immigration.
