Dr. Muhammad Ali Fahim, Head of the Climate Information Center at the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture, announced the beginning of an intense heat wave that the country will witness, starting on Wednesday, July 17 and continuing for ten days.

Fahim explained that the reason behind this wave is the extension of the Indian seasonal low, which has dominated the atmosphere, which will lead to a significant rise in temperatures, and temperatures are expected to exceed 42 degrees Celsius in the north of the country and 45 degrees Celsius in the south.

He added that this phenomenon increases during this period of each year as a result of rising temperatures and humidity in the air, noting that the Indian low plays a major role in attracting the tropical monsoon winds, which leads to similar effects in other countries such as Saudi Arabia, the Levant and Iraq.
