Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak revealed the signing of 24 agreements worth 60 billion rubles (about 670 million dollars) on the first day of the Caucasus Investment Forum.

In an interview with the Russian “TASS” agency conducted on Monday on the sidelines of the forum’s activities, Novak said that representatives from 50 countries are participating in the forum, and more than 4,000 participants have registered in the forum.

The agreements focused on developing tourism, transport and logistics infrastructure in the North Caucasus regions, according to Anton Kobyakov, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Economic Forum.

The Caucasus Investment Forum concluded its activities in Grozny, the capital of Chechnya, with the signing of 100 investment agreements worth 106 billion rubles (about 1.20 billion dollars).

The forum lasted three days and witnessed the participation of 4,000 attendees from 33 countries and reflected the growing international interest in investment opportunities in the region.

The Governor of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, confirmed that the forum was held at the highest level, and its activities included more than 60 different activities, and the economic and trade potential of the region was discussed under the slogan “The Greater Caucasus – from sea to sea.
