The U.S. police arrested the president of the Colombian Football Federation, Ramón Jesurún, in Miami following unfortunate incidents at the “Hard Rock” stadium on the evening of last Sunday during the Copa America final match.

The incident required police intervention as fans attempted to storm the stadium, delaying the match for 82 minutes.

Jesurún, 71, physically assaulted a police officer, according to Miami police reports, during escalating tensions between fans and security forces.

This incident coincided with Argentina’s 1-0 victory over Colombia, thanks to a decisive goal from substitute player Lautaro Martinez in extra time.
