Algeria announced the resumption of train services to Tunisia, starting this summer, after a thirty-year hiatus.
The Superintendent of Security and Operational Activity at the General Directorate of Algerian Customs, Abdel Nasser Khantot, told national radio that these trips were programmed to enhance tourism movement between the two countries.
Khantot explained that Algerian customs prepared for this step in coordination with the border police and the National Railway Transport Company, to ensure facilitating the passage of travelers through the Souk Ahras International Station, which was equipped for this purpose.
