Russia recorded the lowest unemployment rate among G20 countries in June, at 2.4%, according to an analysis by โ€œSputnikโ€ News Agency.

This achievement comes despite Western sanctions imposed on Moscow, reflecting the resilience of the Russian labor market in the face of economic challenges.

In the same month, Japan achieved the second lowest unemployment rate at 2.5%, recording a slight decrease from May, which recorded 2.6%, while Mexico witnessed a slight increase in unemployment from 2.6% to 2.8% between May and June, while unemployment rates in South Korea remained stable at 2.8%.

Despite the improvement witnessed by some countries, most G20 economies were unable to reduce unemployment rates below 3%, although they remained stable or decreased in some cases.

In Spain, the unemployment rate fell from 12.29% in the first quarter of this year to 11.

The U.S. Department of Defense announced that the US Army has handed over control of its military base in Niger to the local armed forces, in a move that ends its military presence that lasted for years in the country under the pretext of โ€œfighting terrorism.โ€

Air Base โ€œ201โ€, located in Agadez in central Niger, which cost $110 million to build with funding from the Pentagon, served as an operations center for US drones.

According to a report published by the โ€œNew York Timesโ€, the last group of 1,000 US soldiers left the air base in Agadez on board a U.S. Air Force cargo plane.

This withdrawal came after Washington agreed to withdraw them by September 15, and the newspaper indicated that a small number of soldiers will remain at the U.S. embassy for a short period to complete some administrative details.

Hurricane โ€œDebbieโ€ washed up huge quantities of cocaine on a Florida beach, with an estimated value of more than $1 million.

The U.S. Border Patrol reported that a beachgoer discovered 25 packages containing 32 kilograms of cocaine, and immediately contacted the relevant authorities.

The Border Patrol did not reveal the exact location of the cocaine discovery, but published photos of the packages, which were labeled with a distinctive red triangle.

The person who found the cocaine reportedly found the packages wrapped inside a garbage bag, amid seaweed and debris.

Hurricane Debbie, which made landfall in the United States as a Category 1 hurricane with wind speeds exceeding 130 kilometers per hour, washed these packages to the beach.
