On my way to #Tahtakuslar , a village along the Aegean side in Turkey. The last of the villages where the traditional turkish pre -islamic culture is still followed. It is full of healers who follow the traditional methods of healing people. Excited to learn more.

Tahta- Wood and Kuslar is Bird . This is a village of nomadic woodworkers who settled here. Also birds hold great significance in their healing and omen traditions.

They came to Mount Ida and settled there. They made wooden boats for Mehmed the Ottoman Sultan who conquered Constantinople( modern day Istanbul).

They still wear their traditional dresses and follow their traditional customs and rituals. Hoping to learn from them and bring that to all of you.

Krishna is So amazing. I researched for traditional healing modalities in Turkey and found this village before I started for my trip. Luckily found a 2 step connection for a traditional and well respected healer.
