Medical Services Principal Secretary Harry Kimtai agrees to withdraw case against 61-year-old retired nurse Grace Njoki Mulei, who was arrested after interrupting a meeting at Afya House to protest inefficiencies in the Social Health Authority (SHA) system.
This decision comes after Members of Parliament, led by Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, questioned the rationale behind Njoki's arrest during a parliamentary retreat session on January 30, 2025.
National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula also advised the Ministry to drop the charges, noting that Njoki's arrest had tarnished the Ministry's image.
