Вот так выглядит путешествие по полярной тундре в декабре. По дороге туда, при порывах ветра до 25 метров в секунду и низовой метели, мы еще снимали видео на улице. На обратном пути, когда ветер был уже за 30 м/с, выходить из машины мы даже не пытались, снег сам забирался к нам каким то непостижимым образом. 6-тонный вездеход сносило с дороги. Чего уж говорить о людях J

This is how the trip to the polar tundra in December looks like. On the way there, with the wind gusts up to 25 meters per second and close-to-earth blizzard, we still shot a video outside. On the way back, while the flaws over 30 m/s, we did not even try to get out of the car, the snow itself leaked inside somehow. 6-ton all-terrain vehicle was blown off from the road. Ненецкая семья: Гриша Лаптандер, его сестра Галя Неркаги и дети. У ненцев обычно два имени: одно по паспорту, для всех, а второе, которым его или её называют только дома близкие родственники.
Будучи суеверными, они не раскрывают своего второго имени. Никто из посторонних не должен его знать. Если кто то сглазит ненца, то проведут обряд и получится, что сглазили того, кто паспорту, а не того, кто с настоящим именем. Такая вот система защиты.

Nenets family: Grisha Laptander, his sister Galya Nerkagi and children. The Nenets usually have two names: one is in the passport, used for all, and another, which he or she is called only at home by close relatives.
Being superstitious, they do not reveal their second name. No one else should know it. If someone jinx Nenets, they conduct the rite and it appeared that the one who is in the passport was jinxed, but not the one who has the real name. This is kind of the system of protection.

Каслание ненецких оленеводов - переход кочевого стойбища на новое место в тундре.
Ненцы традиционно совершают несколько десятков переходов в год, кочуя по полярной тундре с юга на север, и обратно. Ежегодно оленеводы проходят со своими оленями и жилищами около 600 километров в поисках лучших пастбищ. Наибольшее число перекочевок осуществляется в межсезонье, пока ненцы мигрируют от места зимней стоянки на их родовой территории («варга») до места так называемой «летовки».

Nenets reindeer herders migrating in Yamal, moving with their nomadic camp to a new place in the polar tundra.
The Nenets traditionally make dozens of transfers each year, roaming the tundra from South to North, and back. Every year reindeer herders cover with their reindeers and dwellings about 600 kilometers in search of the better pastures. The greatest number of migrations is performed while the Nenets migrate from the place of winter camp located on their ancestral territory ("Varga") to the place of the summer nomadic camp.

Ода ямальской погоде... ❄️ 🌬
Погодные условия в полярной тундре очень суровые. Морозы ниже -50 сменяются пургой и настоящим снежным штормом. Весной, когда колебания температур вызывают оттепели, сменяемые очередными заморозками, на снегу образуется наст, который существенно затрудняет доступ оленей к из источнику питания - ягелю. Ежегодно это приводит к значительному сокращению поголовья северных оленей на Ямале.

Ode to Yamal weather... ❄ 🌬
The weather conditions in the polar tundra are extremely harsh. Frosts below -50 are replaced by a blizzard and a real snow storm. In the spring time, when temperature fluctuations cause thaw, followed by regular frosts, the snow becomes covered with an ice crust, which significantly complicates the access of reindeers to their staple food - reindeer moss. Every year this leads to a significant reduction in the number of reindeers in Yamal.

Стойбище ненецких рыбаков Ивана и Евгении в Байдарацкой тундре.
Ненцы традиционно занимаются оленеводством, рыболовством и охотой. Некоторые ненецкие рыбаки встают на стоянку на озеро в летний период, совмещая рыбалку с выпасом оленей, другие, как Иван, не имеющие собственного стада, стоят на озере и в зимний период. Ямальские озера богаты рыбой. Зимой со 150 метров сетей Иван каждые 3 дня собирает по 60 килограмм рыбы.

The camp of the Nenets fishermen Ivan and Evgenia in Baidaratskaya tundra.
The Nenets are traditionally engaged in reindeer breeding, fishing and hunting. Some Nenets fishermen keep their nomads camps on the lakes in the summer time, combining fishing and reindeer herding, while others, like Ivan, who do not have their own herds, stay on the lake also during the winter. Yamal lakes are rich in fish. In the winter, with 150 meters of fishing nets Ivan every 3 days catches 60 kilos of fish.

Вечером после захода солнца мы пошли смотреть на ночные танцы сан. Мелодия очень необычная, как и само зрелище. По ходу танца Сан впадают в транс. 
Один из нас решил пошутить в стиле маски Шрека. Он с собой привез светящиеся палочки, которые загораются от тряски - в туристическом магазине они стоят недорого. В середине танца он отошел в сторону в темноту и стал крутить этой палочкой. Со стороны выглядело фантастически, как светящийся круг💫.
Танцующие сан, будучи еще в трансе, увидев это, реально перепугались. Один даже схватил горящую палку из костра и ломанулся в сторону Сереги. Походу, им в состоянии аффекта почудилось что-то неземное. Тем более, что, как сказал нам гид, они вызывали духи предков.

In the evening after sunset, we went to look at the night San dancing. The melody is very unusual, as the spectacle itself. San fall into a trance.
During the evening dance one of us decided to make a joke in the style of Shrek's mask. He brought glow sticks that light up from shaking - it sold in a tourist shop and cost cheap. In the middle of the dance he stepped into the darkness and began to twist this stick. From the side it looked fantastic as a glowing circle💫.
Dancing San, while still in a trance, seeing this, really scared. One even grabbed a burning stick from the campfire and rushed to the side of the Sergey. May be, they were in a state of affect thought something unearthly. Especially because, as we were told the guide, they evoked the spirits of the ancestors.
