Погода была декабрьская: до -30 C, временами метель, все как мы любим☃️
Мы жили в стойбище ненецких оленеводов в сотнях километров от Салехарда. Мы ходили с ними на рыбалку и охоту, мы ели их заботливо приготовленные диковинные угощения, мы ночевали с ними в их чуме, делали с ними перекочевку по тундре, арканили оленей и фотографировали северное сияние! Мы прожили на Ямале целую маленькую северную жизнь, так не похожую ни на что другое 😇🌟

☃️ЗНАЧЕНИЕ СЕМЬИ ДЛЯ НЕНЦЕВ🦌
Ненцы относятся к самодийским народам (некогда ошибочно названным «самоедами»). Само название «самодийцы» от русской диалектной формы самодин, использовавшейся в особенности в русской речи нганасан и энцев (других самодийских народов) в качестве самоназвания этих групп. То есть, даже термин «сам, один» фактически подчёркивает, что для ненцев не так важна родовая структура общества, как собственно семья, его первичная ячейка.
Отвечая на вопрос, почему семья важна для жителей тундры, ямальцы удивлялись этой формулировке: с точки зрения ненцев, если у человека нет семьи, то он, по большому счету, не состоялся. Вот, что говорят сами ненцы: «Если бы у отца не было жены, кто бы ему готовил? Не было бы детей, кто бы ему помогал? Когда есть семья, то становится легче. Семья - важно, потому что как же без семьи вообще можно?»

☃️ IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY FOR NENETS🦌
Nenets belong to Samodeic peoples (also named “Samoyeds”). The name "Samodeic" comes from the Russian dialectal form “Samodin”, which was used especially in the Russian speech of the Nganasans and the Enets (other Samoyed peoples) as an endonym of these groups. That is, even the term “samodin” (translated as “himself, the one” actually emphasizes that for the Nenets the clan community structure is not so important as the family itself as the primary cell of society.
Answering the question why family is so important for tundra inhabitants, Nenets are surprised at this question. - From the Nenets point of view, if a person does not have a family, then, he/she has not just succeeded in his life. This is what the Nenets themselves say: “If my father had no wife, who would cook for him? There would be no children, who would help him? When you have a family, it becomes easier. Family is important, because how is it possible without a family at all?”

The temperature reached -40C, but we were warmed in the chum of our Nenets friends, where we stayed for 5 happy days☃️

🇷🇺КУЛЬТУРА: ТРАДИЦИОННАЯ ОДЕЖДА НЕНЦЕВ🦌
Ненцы (Ямал, Россия) - пожалуй, один из немногих малых народов севера, кто носит традиционную одежду и зимой, и летом и, в целом, продолжает придерживаться традиционного уклада жизни.
Зимой, в 40-градусный мороз, ни один пуховик не спасёт так, как спасает малица (мужская одежда) или ягушка (женская одежда) сшитая из шкур оленя. В ней можно даже переночевать в тундре! А летом удобнее в легкой малице из тонкой шкуры или ягушке из натуральной ткани или длинных платьях из ситца.
Всю одежду, и зимнюю, и летнюю, ненцы шьют сами с использованием также вручную сделанных, невероятно прочных ниток из жил оленей🦌

🇷🇺CULTURE: TRADITIONAL NENETS’ CLOTHES🦌
The Nenets (Yamal, Russia) are probably one of the few small ethnic groups of the North who wear traditional clothes both in winter and in summer and, in general, continue to adhere to the traditional way of life.

And in summer it is more comfortable in light malitsa or yagushka, made of natural fabrics or long dresses made of chintz.
All clothes, both winter and summer, are sewn by the Nenets themselves using also hand-made, incredibly strong threads made from reindeer veins🦌

Ненцы (Ямал, Россия) - пожалуй, один из немногих малых народов севера, кто носит традиционную одежду и зимой, и летом и, в целом, продолжает придерживаться традиционного уклада жизни.
Зимой, в 40-градусный мороз, ни один пуховик не спасёт так, как спасает малица (мужская одежда) или ягушка (женская одежда) сшитая из шкур оленя. В ней можно даже переночевать в тундре! А летом удобнее в легкой малице из тонкой шкуры или ягушке из натуральной ткани или длинных платьях из ситца.
Всю одежду, и зимнюю, и летнюю, ненцы шьют сами с использованием также вручную сделанных, невероятно прочных ниток из жил оленей🦌
