🏜 Наша команда начала своё путешествие по Анголе с аридных земель древнейшей на Земле пустыни Намиб.
🌵 Здесь выживают доисторические растения-эндемики вельвичии, некоторые из которых старше Иисуса Христа, и кочевники невероятного племени мукубал, которые из года в год неуловимо передвигаются по каменистым равнинам Намиба в поисках пропитания для их скота.
Мукубал (кубал) — народ банту, который, как считается, пришёл из восточной Африки и является потомками масаев. И хотя традиция изготовления больших шляп мукубал из бычьих хвостов претерпела изменения, и теперь используются более простые материалы, такие как кустарник, эти люди живут абсолютно традиционно, что проявляется как во внешнем выражении их материальной культуры, так и в образе жизни.
👣 Мукубал непревзойдённые ходоки. Для продажи товара на рынках, женщины проходят по 50 км в день!

Мы движемся дальше в район Гарганта, где в горах Леба сохранилось несколько сотен представителей племени нгуэнделенго.

🇦🇴OLA FROM ANGOLA! MUKUBAL TRIBE🧑🏿🦲
Ola, amigos! Mzungu speaking.
🏜 Our team began the journey in Angola from the arid lands of the Namib Desert, the oldest desert on Earth.
🌵 Here survives the prehistoric endemic plants of the Welwitschia, some of them are older than Jesus Christ, and the nomads of the incredible Mukubal tribe, who moves elusively year after year across the rocky plains of Namib in search of sustenance for their cattle.
The Mukubal (Kubal) are a Bantu people believed to have come from eastern Africa and to be descendants of the Maasai. Although the tradition of making large Mukubal hats from the tails of oxen has changed (now they use simpler materials such as bush) these people live a completely traditional life, which is reflected both in the external expression of their material culture and in their way of life.
The Mukubal are famous for being outstanding walkers. The women walk 50 km per day to sell their goods in the markets!
From my side I want to add that the Mucubal are also excellent photo-models. 👍 And there are no words to describe how fantastic sunsets and sunrises we meet here! 🌅
We are moving on to the Garganta area, where several hundred members of the Nguendelengo tribe are still preserved in the Leba Mountains.
