I chose a rather unusual topic for a demo lesson, but it is the one that may interest you the most.

As we know, the majority of IELTS students give boring answers in Part 3. One of the reasons why this happens is because they do not employ interesting stylistic features - and in this case, I explained how rhetorical questions and one-word instant replies can help provide interesting answers 🗣️

road trip – mashinada sayohat
affordable, holiday destinations, out-of-season travel, swarming with tourists, get away from it all, exotic destinations, scenic views, off the beaten track, guided tours, packaged deals, go sightseeing, spectacular places, lush forest, advance reservations, self-catering accommodations, get around, craft markets, memorable experiences, magnificent landscapes, frugal, peak season, itchy feet, When in Rome,
I would like to talk about the time when I travelled to Kansas City with my roommate in 2019.
When I lived in the US with my roommate, we had very itchy feet. We used to travel a lot. One time, we decided to organize a road trip to Kansas City. It was 250 miles from Missouri where I lived.
We booked a car in advance from a rental company. Because we were going there for only week-end, we planned to travel light. We did not even pack a luggage. We only took our backpacks.
Little that we know adventures were waiting for us. Because it was out-of-season travel in the late fall, heavy rain welcomed us on the road. We were lucky to rent an SUV otherwise, we would not be able to arrive Kansas at all. We spent twice more time than usual on the road. However, the next morning the rain stopped and we had a chance to sightsee the city. It was spectacular with magnificent views. However some parts of the city were off-the-beaten track. The downtown was a tourist trap. We enjoyed the holiday. It was a memorable trip only because of the heavy rain.
1. Youth in Uzbekistan are eager to learn to driver. The legal driving age is 18 in Uzbekistan. Usually, as soon as they turn 18, they start special driving courses to get a driving license. The reason is, youngsters nowadays, want to be independent and free. They don’t want to rely on their parents. I think that might be the primary reason.
2. There are several differences. The most obvious one is the speed limit. The second is traffic congestion density. The next one is the road quality. Another one is police and radar control. Finally, driving manners.
First of all, the speed limit is usually lower in the cities due to dense population. More people mean more cars. It leads to traffic jams. Also, authorities usually pay more attention to the road quality in the cities (at least its true in Uzbekistan). Since there are more vehicles in the city, rules are more strictly enforced. I believe that might be the reason why people follow rules and drive respectfully in the cities compared to countryside.
3. Well, generally speaking, no. Most drivers are reckless. Sometimes some show road rage. Some of them even drive under influence. (DUI) Maybe, it’s because I live in the suburban part of the city and there is no strict control on roads.
However, overgeneralizing would not be appropriate and fair. I know some drivers who respect traffic laws and care about passengers and pedestrians.
4. Ten years ago electric cars were something that were shown on TV and people would dream. However, in the last 5 years electric cars have taken over Uzbekistan. Partly because the government reduced the customs tax significantly. Its all due to air pollution.
5. Price reduction. Possibilities to lease cars. Laws. Infrastructure (more charging stations).
6. Possible. internal combustion engine
1. My stomach is not used to digesting a lot of food.
2. I wish I could change my son’s behavior.

5. The criminal was killed immediately without being held.
6. I am going to have my teeth checked by the dentist.
