48 years ago, the monetary order called Bretton Woods system was abolished and replaced by the Jamanian system. The previous economic structure made a long-standing contribution to our world, taking a huge part in post-war reconstruction and international trade.

The reason to adopt the new agreement was a devastating economic situation after World War II, as the world was in need of rebuilding. After the conference in Bretton Wood the dollar became the world's main currency and itself was equated to gold, hence widely used for a majority of international transactions. Moreover, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) were established, leading a way to one of the most significant organizations in the modern world.

Over time the ratio of the world economy’s main forces shifted, resulting in the decreasing of the dollar value it was replaced with the Jamanian, which is forming the value of a currency based on the laws of the market.
Longmen Grottoes are a great representation of Buddhist art located in the Chinese province, Henan. Built between the 5th and 8th centuries, thousands and thousands of Buddhist stone statues witnessed the eternal flow of destinies, their enlightenment and decline. The number of statues is unimaginable alone, but caves are also real secret chambers containing about 2,800 inscriptions. Although most of the substance is devoted to Buddhist religion, the Chinese nation imparted their wisdom through such an art. One of the caves is called the Cave of Prescriptions, as in this place people recorded treatments for various diseases and illnesses.

Longmen Grottoes bear the name of the high point in Chinese stone carving. Since 2000, this heritage has been under the protection of UNESCO, following the principle of “retaining the historic condition” in its pristine form.
How many Buddhist statues does this collection of Chinese art contain?

THIS COUNTRY seems like a serene paradise settled in the North. The seas around wash the islands, making it even more peaceful and private place for high quality life. Wherever you are, it will not take a lot of your time to take a bike and admire the unparalleled view of the ocean.
However, back in history, the involvement in numerous events could not give that tranquility. Rich history of this nation is teeming with Vikings, rivalry, and victories. People, in turn, deeply venerate their traditions, even their national flag is considered the oldest one in the world.

The right answer to the poll is DENMARK

The ocean is always close to Denmark’s nation, as the maximum distance from it is just 52 km. Many Danes do not lose the chance to swim in the open waters all year. Winter swimming is a special kind of recreation for them. Plunging into a cold and invigorating sea makes your immunity strengthen and the spirit awake. A short trip to the sea by bike will be brightened up by picturesque landscapes. By the way, cycling does not take a lot of your energy reserves - the relief of the country is one of the flattest in the world.
Probably all these views of the ocean will remind you of some childhood memories – the stories about the dreaming mermaid and the ugly duckling. Danes also revere their prominent writer, Hans Christian Andersen, by proclaiming the mute swan the national symbol of the country.
UN IN THE CULTURE

It is no wonder how the United Nations’s immense recognition among the global community made it an aspiration for many people. The aims and purposes of this organisation are considered to be fundamental, affecting all spheres of life, for example the cultural part. In the media we can find references to the United Nations and make sure that it is indeed around us.

The United Republic of Nations is a main location in the animated series called “Avatar: The Legend of Korra” that is a parallel to the United Nations in the real world. This city was created in order to unify people of all 4 nations and make a first step into peace and harmony after the long-lasting war. The United Republic is known for having a unique and diverse culture that was shaped by immigration and a technological revolution.

The Sydney Opera House is one of the most incredible architectural works of the XX century located in Sydney, Australia. Being created by the famous architect Jørn Utzon, it brings together creative approaches in both design and geometrical forms, making it unlike any other building or opera in the world. The iconic sail-like structures, inspired by the actual boat with a sail, have made it a symbol of Sydney and modern Australia as a whole. Sydney Opera House was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20 October 1973, after nearly 15 years of construction.

In 1957 the project of the Sydney Opera House was awarded by an International Jury and in 2005 was included in the National Heritage list under the Heritage Act 1977. In 2019, the Sydney Opera House became the first major arts institution in Australia to commit to the Sustainable Development Goals, which is reflected in the Reconciliation Action Plan, which supports global efforts to promote cultural awareness, equality and opportunities for all.
On the heights of the mountains a freedom-loving nation once settled down. By virtue of this location, pristine peculiarity in architecture was able to sweep through the years. The language of THIS COUNTRY sounds like a distinctive melody. Linguists confirmed that it belongs to the separate language family group, and the origins of it continue to be a mystery.
However, it is only a part of this land’s culture dating back for millennia. Their amiability and such a hearty welcome are distinguished features along with their love to feasts.

Such delicacy as gozinaki made from honey and nuts has a rich history of origins. Some days, the Persian king received this dessert as a gift. However, the Georgian nation was the one that truly accepted gozinaki and added it to their list of favourite sweets. Hazelnuts, pistachios, pumpkin seeds, or even dried fruits can become ingredients for the dish. Probably, the secret of a delicious recipe is subject to Georgia itself and the mesmerising language in which it is written.

Georgian is part of the Kartvelian language family group. However, all these languages are spoken mostly in Georgia and in some parts of northeastern Türkiye. Georgian is one of the oldest languages in the world, whose nation has maintained, through time, its original alphabet and pronunciation.
