Holy f*cking crap!
After 22 of 24 Formula 1 races in the 2025 the World-championship got more exciting.
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have been disqualified from the Las Vegas Grand Prix for illegal plank wear, propelling Max Verstappen right back into the drivers' title fight.

F1's rulebook states the thickness of the planks underneath both cars must be no less than 9mm, but McLaren's two cars were found to be below that after Saturday night's race.

Oscar Piastri will start the sprint race in Qatar from pole position.

Piastri hit back after a tough run of form to pip Mercedes’ George Russell to top spot. The Australian hasn’t finished on the podium since the Italian Grand Prix back in September.

Since then, Piastri’s lead in the championship standings has evaporated, with Lando Norris now 24 points clear with two rounds to go. Piastri will hope to take the title down to the wire in Abu Dhabi at least.

Verstappen produced two stunning laps good enough for pole as he beat F1 title favourite Lando Norris by 0.201 seconds in the most important qualifying session of the season.
Oscar Piastri was third-fastest, 0.230s off the pace to ensure the top three in the championship start Sunday’s crunch finale in the top three spots on the grid.
In the race finished as it starts, Norris would be crowned world champion for the first time in his F1 career. Holding a 12-point lead over Verstappen, Norris only needs to finish on the podium to secure a maiden drivers’ crown.

Lando Norris won his maiden F1 world championship with a third place finish at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen took victory in the title-deciding finale but it was not enough to become a five-time world champion, with Norris clinching his first drivers’ crown by securing the third place he needed.
Oscar Piastri, who also had a slim chance to win the championship, finished second, after brilliantly overtaking his McLaren teammate on the opening lap.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc kept Norris honest for most of the race but had to settle with fourth, ahead of Mercedes’ George Russell in fifth.
