Wipro Added Record 40,000 Employees Between January And December 2021
For comparison, the company had added 2,990 employees in FY21. The software major had paused on-boarding of freshers in the beginning of the pandemic in 2020, due to uncertainty around the situation.
In FY23, HCL Technologies plans to double up its fresher hiring to cater to the growing demand for tech.

HCL Tech to double fresher hiring in FY23 from 20,000 this fiscal
This comes amid huge demand for talents, and rising attrition. HCL Tech's attrition rate stood at 19.8 percent in the quarter, from 15.7 percent in Q2 FY22. The firm employs about 1.97 lakh employees.
#Wipro is facing a new challenge as #freshers, who were offered a salary of Rs 3.5 LPA to work as project engineers, are raising concerns about being made to wait while other candidates with higher offers are being given the option to join at lower packages.
