Rambam Hospital in Haifa: Major Boaz Tamam, one of the severely wounded in the fighting in Lebanon, who was transferred to Rambam Hospital exactly one month ago (29/3), was discharged today and is on his way to rehabilitation in Tel HaShomer.
Major Tamam, deputy battalion commander in the Armored Corps, lost one leg in the battle and was also very severely wounded in his other leg, in addition to suffering serious burns. Doctors fought to save the injured leg and succeeded.
Major Tamam is one of 107 soldiers treated so far at Rambam Hospital as a result of the fighting in Lebanon.
