DVA Launcher
DVA Launcher is a personal, unofficial Windows launcher workflow built around scrcpy's Android virtual display functionality.
The project was originally created to simplify my personal workflow for running individual Android applications through dedicated Windows-style windows.
DVA Launcher does not replace scrcpy and does not introduce a new Android virtualization technology. It is a practical workflow built around existing scrcpy functionality.
OVERVIEW
DVA Launcher uses scrcpy's Android virtual display functionality to run individual Android applications in dedicated Windows-style windows.
Instead of manually configuring scrcpy every time, DVA Launcher provides an application-specific launcher with its own configuration.

MAIN CONCEPT
Each DVA Launcher instance is associated with a specific Android application.
The launcher starts scrcpy with the required configuration and launches the selected Android package inside a virtual display.

Android Application
The application-specific approach is intentional.
Instead of launching multiple Android applications inside one shared mirrored screen, each application gets its own dedicated launcher, configuration, and virtual display.
This is designed to make Android applications feel more like individual Windows applications.
Each application can have its own:
Windows-style launcher
Dedicated window
Window title
scrcpy configuration
Android package
Virtual display
The goal is not to make Android applications technically native Windows applications.
The goal is to provide a Windows-like application experience while the actual application continues to run on Android.
APPLICATION-SPECIFIC CONFIGURATION
Each application can have its own launcher and configuration.

The configuration file contains the scrcpy parameters used by that application.
Possible configuration settings include:
Virtual display configuration
Window title
Video codec
Video bitrate
Audio configuration
Rendering backend
Android package to launch
Other supported scrcpy options
This allows different applications to use different scrcpy configurations depending on their requirements.

Android Application
DVA Launcher is built around existing scrcpy functionality.
The launcher is responsible for starting the appropriate scrcpy configuration, while the actual Android virtual display and video or audio streaming functionality are provided by scrcpy.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
DVA Launcher primarily uses scrcpy's new display functionality to create a dedicated Android virtual display.
This makes it possible to launch an Android application independently from the device's main display.
The project focuses on simplifying the workflow around this functionality rather than replacing the underlying technology.
The exact internal implementation may change as the project evolves.
HOW THE CONNECTION WORKS
DVA Launcher can work through the Android device connection methods supported by scrcpy.
USB mode uses a normal USB connection between the Windows PC and Android device.
Wireless mode allows scrcpy to communicate with the Android device through the local network instead of using a USB cable.
Wireless mode does not mean that DVA Launcher remotely accesses random devices or the internet.
The connection is between the user's own Windows PC and Android device through a connection supported by Android and scrcpy.

The sync process is a local configuration workflow. It does not upload the configuration to a server or remotely control another computer.
COMMAND CONFIGURATION
Each DVA Launcher application uses a configuration file containing the settings used to start scrcpy.
A typical configuration may contain settings such as:
window title
virtual display
video bitrate
rendering backend
video codec
video buffering
keyboard input
virtual display decorations
Android application package
display behavior
These options tell DVA Launcher and scrcpy how the Android application should be displayed and started.
The start application option specifies which Android application package should be launched.
For example:
start application
com.example.app
This means:
Start the Android application identified by this package name.
The command does not contain the Android application itself.
The application must already be installed on the Android device.
WHY DVA LAUNCHER EXISTS
DVA Launcher started as a personal workflow project.
The main goal was to make frequently used Android applications easier to launch from Windows without repeatedly entering long scrcpy command lines or manually configuring the same parameters.
The project is shared publicly as a technical reference and personal project in case the same workflow is useful to others.
THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE
DVA Launcher relies on third-party software and libraries, most importantly scrcpy and its associated dependencies.
Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses and ownership.
See the project's third-party software documentation for additional information.
UNOFFICIAL PROJECT
DVA Launcher is an unofficial personal project.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to:
scrcpy
Android
Android application developers
Game publishers
Other third-party software providers
Application names may be referenced for identification purposes only.
PROJECT STATUS
DVA Launcher is a personal technical project and workflow experiment.
The project may evolve as new ideas, configurations, and use cases are explored.
The primary purpose remains simplifying the use of Android virtual displays through scrcpy on Windows.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
DVA Launcher is a personal technical project built around scrcpy, ADB, and Android virtual display functionality.
It uses standard Android tools and connection methods to run Android applications through a dedicated virtual display on Windows.
The underlying components may look unfamiliar to users who have never worked with Android development or device-management tools.
ADB, scrcpy, command-line parameters, and wireless device connections are normal parts of the Android tooling used by this project.
A simple example is WhatsApp.
Users do not need to understand its internal networking and communication systems to use it. The fact that those systems exist does not make WhatsApp a hacking tool.
The same principle applies to technical tools such as DVA Launcher.
If you are unfamiliar with ADB, scrcpy, wireless debugging, or Android virtual displays, read the documentation before installing or using the project.
You do not need to use the project if you are not comfortable with how it works.
Use it only with devices you own or have permission to access.
Understand the technology first. Use it second.
DISCLAIMER
DVA Launcher is an unofficial personal project.
It is not affiliated with or endorsed by scrcpy, Google, Android, or any third-party application developers.
Third-party software and applications remain the property of their respective owners.
