Children Turn Waste into Art at the Zero Waste Workshop
The Zero Waste Workshop at the Fatih Municipality Waste Collection Center in Istanbul helps students develop environmental awareness from an early age. It welcomes participants of all ages, from primary school pupils to university students, encouraging them to transform waste materials into creative new products. Plastic bottles, cardboard boxes, metal caps, and other recyclables are collected instead of being discarded. Once sorted and cleaned, these materials are used in the workshop to make a variety of things, from toys to everyday household products.
