🔹Regarding the Nobility of the Sacred Sanctuary and Shrine of Lady Fāṭimah al-Ma‘ṣūmah (PBUH), known as “Madinat al-Zaha”1️⃣

First Ḥadith

In explaining why the city of Qom was named so, the narration refers to the removal of the accursed Shayṭān’s influence from the people of Qom, who are none other than the Shia adherents of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUTh).

🔸 The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said:
“When I was taken up in ascension (Miʿrāj), Jibrāʾil carried Me on his right shoulder, and My eyes caught sight of a crimson patch of land, its color more radiant than saffron and its fragrance more delightful than musk.

🔸 In that spot I saw an old man wearing a tall cap. I asked Jibrāʾil: ‘What is this crimson land whose color is brighter than saffron and whose scent is more fragrant than musk?’

🔸 Jibrāʾil replied: ‘This is the place of Your Shia — the followers of Your successor Ali (PBUH).’
I then asked: ‘And who is this old man wearing the tall cap?’
Jibrāʾil said: ‘That is Iblis (may Allah curse him).’

🔸 I asked: ‘What does he want from these Shia?’
Jibrāʾil replied: ‘He seeks to divert them from the Wilāyah of Amir al-Mu'minin (PBUH) and invites them to sin and corruption.’

🔸 I said: ‘O Jibrāʾil! Let Us descend to them.’
We descended with a speed faster than a lightning flash and swifter than the blink of an eye.

🔸 I said to Iblis: ‘Rise (Qom), O accursed one! Get away! Participate in the wealth, children, and women of the enemies of My Shia — not in the wealth, children, and women of My Shia! For over My Shia and the Shia of Ali, you have no hand and no authority.’
And thus, this land was named “Qom” (Stand!) because of this command: “Qum, O accursed one!”

"O you who believe! When you are told, ‘Make room in gatherings,’ then make room—Allah will make room for you. And when you are told, ‘Rise,’ then rise—Allah will raise those of you who have believed and those who were given knowledge (1) by degrees. And Allah is All-Aware of what you do."
(Surah al-Mujādilah, Verse 11)

❇️ (127) The Blessed Title: ⚜️Al-Faqih/

One of the blessed titles of our Master, Baqiyyatallah al-A‘ẓam (Arwahuna Fidah) is “Faqih”.

✍️ The term “Fiqh” in its linguistic sense means precise, deep, penetrating understanding and perception of a subject. A Faqih is one who is characterized by such attributes.

🖋 It has been repeatedly narrated that the deputies (Nawwāb) of Imam al-Ḥujjah Ibn al-Ḥasan al-Mahdī (May Allah hasten His reappearance) would refer to Him by the title "Faqih". This title frequently appeared in their letters addressed to Imam, particularly when posing questions on matters of religion and law:

"I wrote to the Faqih of the Age and asked: when a pilgrim visits the Imams (PBUTh), is it permissible for him to place his forehead upon the grave and perform sajdah?..."

“Shall I take other gods besides Him? If the Most Merciful intends harm for me, their intercession will be of no benefit to me whatsoever, nor can they save me.”

📖 Surah Yasin

⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️

📃Part One

✍️ In the previous verses, it was mentioned that a Truthful Man encouraged his people to accept the call of the Divine Messengers by presenting rational arguments.
In this blessed verse, another one of his arguments is presented: that choosing deities other than Allah, the Most Glorious, holds no benefit. In other words, any so-called gods set up as rivals to the Merciful Lord possess no power; they can neither remove harm nor offer intercession.

As stated in the Noble Qur’an, idolaters of every nation encouraged their people to worship idols. In contrast, the Prophets and Divine Guides called people toward the worship of Allah and forbade the worship of false gods and idols, which leads to misguidance and polytheism:

“And [remember] when Ibrahim said to his father Azar, ‘Do you take idols as gods? Indeed, I see You and Your people in manifest error.’”
(Surah Al-An'am, Verse 74)

🔰 The Reality of Idols, Deities, and Their Worship

🖋 One manifestation of the false deities and idols was the carved statues worshipped during the Age of Ignorance. However, it is evident that the prohibition against worshiping them is actually a prohibition against the spirit of idolatry and polytheism. Otherwise, the wood and stone themselves are in a state of glorification of Allah, the Almighty:
“There is not a thing but that it glorifies Him with praise, but You do not understand their glorification.”
(Surah Al-Isra, Verse 44)

✔️ The reality of worshiping idols and deities besides Allah, the Glorious, is not merely bowing and prostrating before them, but rather obeying them — that is, obeying what those idols or forces call people toward. As Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq (PBUH) said in His interpretation of verses 81 and 82 of Surah Maryam:

“And they have taken gods besides Allah... Nay! They will deny their worship...”

Imam (PBUH) said:

“Worship is not just prostration and bowing. Worship is to submit and serve in obedience. Whoever obeys a created being in an act that is disobedience to Allah — such a person has worshiped that being.”

📘 Tafsir al-Qummi, vol. 2, p. 55
📘 Al-Burhan fi Tafsir al-Qur’an, vol. 3, p. 729

🖋 A deity other than Allah and the worship of it means obeying the creation and disobeying the Creator.
Therefore, what is truly forbidden is the essence of false gods — the spirit of idolatry — which is shirk (associating partners with Allah). The leader of misguidance and deviation, as referenced in the noble verse under discussion:
“gods besides Him (مِن دُونِهِ ءَالِهَةً)” — calls people to obey himself, thereby turning them away from obedience to the Imam of Guidance, who calls the servants toward the worship of Allah, the Almighty and Glorious.

Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq (PBUH), in His explanation of the verse:
“Is there a god alongside Allah? Nay, most of them do not know.”
(Surah al-Naml, Verse 61)

Imam (PBUH) said:

“Is it possible for a rightly guided Imam and a misleading leader to both be from Allah at the same time?”

📘 Bihar al-Anwar (Beirut Edition), vol. 23, p. 361
💠 Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH), in a narration, refers to the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH) — when he appointed Harun (PBUH) as his successor and left his people. Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) says:

“Allah commanded that Musa be with his people and show them the signs and lessons. Then they passed by a group who were worshiping idols. They said: ‘O Musa! Appoint for us a god as they have gods.’ Musa replied: ‘you are an ignorant people!’
After Musa left, Harun remained, and in his absence, they made a calf — a body that produced a sound — and said: ‘This is your god and the god of Musa.’ They abandoned Harun...”

#Surah_Yasin
#Verse_23

✍️ Prophet Musa ibn ‘Imran (PBUH), when he appointed his successor, Harun (PBUH), among the people to guide them, the people turned to Samiri. After crafting the calf, Samiri said to the people: “This is your god — the one Musa forgot!” (We seek refuge in Allah from such a claim.)

🔹 Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH), in the continuation of His statement, points out an important matter:

“So He set forth examples for you and showed how He dealt with them.”

✔️ In other words, the parables in the Noble Qur’an — presenting examples from the stories of the prophets and their nations — serve as a means of completing the proof upon creation and as a divine test. They show how people, instead of submitting to the command of Allah and responding to the call of the divine guides toward monotheism, followed false deities and idols, and committed shirk.

🖋Then Imam states:

The presentation of this example is to clarify the reality that the status of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (PBUH) in relation to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) is like the status of Harun (PBUH) in relation to Musa (PBUH).

🔘 [But when the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) was martyred, what happened, happened. The Second accursed raised up the first accursed, while the pure body of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) had not yet been buried.]

📘 Tafsir Kanz al-Daqa’iq, vol. 7, p. 471
📘 Tafsir al-‘Ayyashi, vol. 2, p. 306
💠 In another narration, a Jewish man said to Mawla al-Muwahhideen, Ali (PBUH):
"How is it that not even twenty-five years have passed since the death of Your Prophet, and You have already fallen into division and are killing one another?"
Ali (PBUH) replied, pointing out that the nation of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) was similar to the Children of Israel, who — in the absence of their prophet — disobeyed his command and followed the leaders of misguidance. Referring to the noble verse:
“O Musa! Appoint a god for us as they have gods.” (Surah al-A‘raf, 7:138),
Imam (PBUH) said:

“Our disagreement is not about the Prophet Himself, but about how His words are to be understood. Now you tell Me — why was it that the Children of Israel, even before stepping out of the sea, asked Musa to make a god for them, just to be equal with the Copts?”

📔 Bihar al-Anwar (Beirut Edition), vol. 13, p. 176

🔹 Likewise, in one of the debates, Imam Hasan and Imam Husayn (PBUTh), along with ‘Abdullah ibn Ja‘far and Ibn ‘Abbas, engaged in a discussion with Mu‘awiyah (may Allah’s curse be upon him) regarding the virtues of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (PBUH). Referring to the same verse, They argued about the reality of taking false deities — meaning the obedience of tyrants in opposition to the authority of the wali of Allah, and responding to the call of the idols of the ummah over the guidance of the divine callers toward Allah:

“O Mu‘awiyah! Are you surprised by this state of affairs? The fate of the Children of Israel is even more astonishing. Musa [PBUH] parted the sea for them, showed them many signs, and they believed in him, accepted the Torah, and affirmed the religion of Musa.
Yet when they passed by a people who worshiped idols, they said, ‘O Musa, make a god for us like they have.’ Then they took the calf as their god, and all of them worshiped it — except for Harun and his household.
Samiri said to them, ‘This is your god and the god of Harun...’”

🖋 Ibn ‘Abbas continues:

“This nation has followed precisely in the footsteps of the Children of Israel. They, too, had a history with the Messenger of Allah and had virtues among them...”

“...Then, when their Prophet passed away, they fell into division and scattered. They envied their Imam and Wali, opposed Him, and none of them remained upon the covenant their Prophet had made with them — except our Master, whose rank and station with our Prophet was like that of Harun with Musa — and a few others who sought help from Allah to remain firm upon their religion and faith.
The rest returned to regression and ignorance, just like the companions of Musa did: they took the calf in place of God and worshiped it, thinking it was their god. They all gathered upon it, except Harun, his children, and a few from his family.”

📓 Bihar al-Anwar (Beirut Edition), vol. 33, p. 265
📓 Al-Ihtijaj ‘ala Ahl al-Lijaj (by al-Tabarsi), vol. 2, p. 285

🔘 It is for this reason that Lady Fatima al-Zahra (PBUH), after the burning of the house and the attack on the House of Revelation, referred to those two accursed individuals — who turned people away from the worship of Allah, the Almighty, and from tawhid (whose inner core is the wilayah of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (PBUH)) — and dragged them into the worship of their own selves, thereby making shirk manifest in the world — as “the Samiri and the Calf of this Ummah.
The Second Accursed, who brought the foundation of shirk to light, and the First Accursed, who became his tool for misleading the people.

These names had already been revealed by Allah through Jibra’il to the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) before even burning the house:

📓 Kitab Asrar Aal Muhammad (PBUT), by Sulaym ibn Qays, p. 877, hadith 47

Therefore, the reality and inner truth of taking gods besides Allah, in its most complete meaning, is to obey the Taghut and follow him, while rebelling against the divine command regarding the Wilayah of Waliyyullah al-A‘zam, Ali (PBUH).
The Wilayah of Amir al-Mu’minin Ali (PBUH) is the Wilayah of Allah, and obedience to Him is obedience to Allah.
Ali (PBUH) is the Guide to Tawhid, and in contrast, obedience to the Taghut is shirk, misguidance, and deviation.

Thus, those rebellious accursed individuals, who opposed the Waliyyullah al-A‘zam (PBUH), shall be under the eternal curse of Allah, His Messenger, the believers, and the angels — just as Mawla al-Muwahhideen, Ali (PBUH), in His qunut, called those two accursed ones the Two Idols of Quraysh, and cursed them forever:
