✨"أُشْهِدُ اللّٰهَ وَأُشْهِدُكُمْ أَنِّي مُؤْمِنٌ بِكُمْ وَبِما آمَنْتُمْ بِهِ، كافِرٌ بِعَدُوِّكُمْ وَبِما كَفَرْتُمْ بِهِ"

I beseech Allah and I beseech you all to witness for me, that I am a believer in you and in what you believe in, and I renounce your enemies and whatever you renounce

🍃Excerpt from Ziyārat GhadIriyya describing virtues of Mawla al-Muwaḥḥidin, Ali (PBUH)

⚜️أَشْهَدُ أَنَّكَ...أَوَّلُ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَصَدَّقَ بِما أُنْزِلَ عَلَىٰ نَبِيِّهِ

«I bear witness that you are… the first to believe in Allah and to affirm what was revealed to His Prophet.»

ا❁﷽❁ا

✨الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا بِاللَّهِ وَ رُسُلِهِ أُولئِكَ هُمُ الصِّدِّيقُونَ وَ الشُّهَداءُ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ‏

“Those who believe in Allah and His Messengers—those are the truthful (al-Ṣiddīqūn) and the witnesses (al-Shuhadā’) with their Lord.”

(Surah al-Ḥadīd, Verse 19)


❇️ Mawlānā Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) stated:

⚜️«أَنَا اَلصِّدِّيقُ اَلْأَكْبَرُ لاَ يَقُولُهَا غَيْرِي إِلاَّ كَاذِبٌ مُفْتَرٍ»⚜️

“I am the Greatest Truthful One (al-Ṣiddīq al-Akbar); none says this besides me except a liar and a slanderer.”

💠 The Father of the Imams, Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (PBUH), is al-Ṣiddiq al-Akbar, the Greatest Truthful One. As the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) said under the commentary of this noble verse:

⚜️صِدِّیقُ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّهًْ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ عَلِیُّ‌بْنُ‌أَبِی طَالِبٍ (علیه السلام) وَ هُوَ الصِّدِّیقُ الْأَکْبَرُ وَ الْفَارُوقُ الْأَعْظَمُ

“The Ṣiddiq of this Ummah is Ali ibn Abi Ṭālib (PBUH), and He is the Ṣiddiq al-Akbar and the Fārūq al-A'ẓam.”

💠 And in Ziyārah al-Jāmi'ah al-Kabirah, we address the Pure Imams (PBUTh) with the following:

⚜️وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّكُمُ الْأَئِمَّةُ الرَّاشِدُونَ...الصَّادِقُونَ الْمُصْطَفُونَ
_And I bear witness that You are the rightly guided Imams… the truthful, the chosen ones

✨ وَ إِذْ أَخَذَ رَبُّكَ مِنْ بَني آدَمَ مِنْ ظُهُورِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ وَ أَشْهَدَهُمْ عَلى أَنْفُسِهِمْ أَ لَسْتُ بِرَبِّكُمْ قالُوا بَلى شَهِدْنا أَنْ تَقُولُوا يَوْمَ الْقِيامَةِ إِنَّا كُنَّا عَنْ هذا غافِلينَ

﴾"And [remember] when your Lord took from the children of Adam—from their loins—their descendants and made them testify concerning themselves: 'Am I not your Lord?' They said, 'Yes, we bear witness'—lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, 'Indeed, we were unaware of this.'"﴿

(Surah al-A'rāf, Verse 217)


❇️ Mawlānā Amir al-Mu’minin (PBUH) stated:

⚜️«أَنَا اَمیرِالمؤمنینَ»⚜️

I am Amir al-Muminin

➖ The Messenger of Allah (PBUH&HF) stated in the Sermon of Ghadir:

💠أَلا إِنَّهُ لا «أَمیرَالْمُؤْمِنینَ» غَیْرَ أَخِی هذا

"Beware! No one but This Brother of Mine is ever to be called Amir al-Muminin."

✳️ Imam al-Bāqir (PBUH) states:

💠 فَوَ اللَّهِ لَسَمَّاهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَی أَمِیرَالْمُؤْمِنِینَ (علیه السلام) فِی الْأَظِلَّهًْ حَیْثُ أَخَذَ مِنْ ذُرِّیَّهًْ آدَمَ الْمِیثَاقَ

"By Allah, Allah named Him Amir al-Muminin in the realm of spirits and shadows when He took the covenant from the descendants of Adam."
