The technological society depends on many material or organisational conditions that make it predictability and control impossible. For example we can't rationally preserve our forests without strict control on human population numbers, because every attempt at this with unchecked population growth will lead to land and resource demands that the human population needs. Timber, food, land and soil are all resources that in one way or another will be exploited at the expense of the Wilderness. This applies to every other field of prediction.

"Much if not all the ecological mess in which we are trapped now is the result of humans increasingly monkeying around with Nature for thousands of years. And we seem not having learnt the lesson still. Fiddling with Nature and with evolution is the problem, not the solution. We are not gods or able masters or managers of Nature; and we can‟t be. We are not so skilful, wise, and powerful to actively manage, manipulate and control Nature and evolution and simultaneously to avoid the emergence of unexpected serious problems; and we never will. And, so we shouldn't even try." - Ultimo Reducto, A Brief Comment on Pleistocene “Rewilding” (2019)

Whether you are a National Socialist, a radical environmentalist, a socialist, a deep ecologist, a anarcho-libertarian, an anarchist or anything in between you would side with the anti-industrial/anti-tech cause. If you have the right understanding of your ideologies, you'd understand that ultimately your end goals will almost all be achieved under a post-tech future.
Technological destruction will bring the emancipation of races for the NatSocs, the liberation of nature for environmentalists and deep ecologists and the weakening of governments and central authority for the Libertarians and anarchists. A world set back to a neat balance.

Surprisingly true statement! Few people understand what opportunities the collapse of the technosphere will actually provide for the radicals from all sides

Following a closed-door congressional briefing on the dangers of AI, the “Godfather of AI” Dr. Geoffrey Hinton issued an alarming warning that the congress may only have one year left to put safeguards in place. “We shouldn’t be developing stuff that might wipe us out until we know how to prevent it won’t.”

500 8s exposures over 2 hours stitched together to show 14,000 satellites in New Zealand.
2 hours.
When I was a child, we'd spend hours waiting around a campfire to spot a satellite. These days, you might wait for hours to glimpse a night sky without one.
A dark sky will be a history lesson soon. Children will go their whole lives never knowing what the stars look like undisturbed by flashing wings of glass and metal.
14,000 satellites over 2 hours, and sure some of them repeats.
There are an estimated 250,000 proposed satellites for the coming decade.
We can only pray to Kessler's ghost now.

One of the consequences of Technological society is that it always disturbs the natural processes and cycles of the biosphere. Such disturbances may range from pollution to the destruction of Wilderness for various reasons, such as mining or resource extraction. When these disturbances grow threatening to the functioning of the system, it tries to minimise the damage through further intervention in the biological systems — this time consciously and rationally. However, it is exactly this intervention that destroys the autonomy of Nature and the Wilderness. A forest whose existence depends on pesticide use is not truly wild nature; it is an anthropogenic tree plantation. With the consequences of the techno-sphere's disruptive activities (climate change and the transportation of non-native species, for example), still-wild habitats will degrade so much that they too will require intervention to continue performing their ecosystem processes and functions.

I'm starting to think that the reason people are so miserable right now (at that stage in history) is because they have been fed the propaganda that society goes in direction of constant progress (whether material or social). This was true for the end of the 20th century but not for now and the culture that emerged is in direct conflict with the reality of the techno-system. So people expect higher wages, more free time, more security, the possibility of families and acquiring homes, all of which the system cannot provide. So we see (in large part) the "ideals" of the system conflicting with the material conditions of the planet.

Don't know if this is true but this is the way the system is heading. Merging the biological and the artificial into single one, so the environment can be shaped according to the needs of Technology. We are rapidly approaching a dystopian level techno-civilisation.
The notion that all revolutions have a social origin is a pure and simple assumption fostered by Marxism. It is historically incorrect. The social issue has played a revolutionary role only since the end of the eighteenth century. To arrive at it, men had first to be convinced that poverty was not the destiny of mankind, that the division between “aristoi,” “oligoi,” and the rest was not “natural.” In other words, economic growth had to appear and raise the issue of a destined deprivation, and the image of potential abundance had to fill the eyes of the multitudes: at that point poverty and the inequity of distribution became causes of revolution, not before." - Jacques Ellul, Autopsy of Revolution
