A private key gives you full access to your crypto wallet. For self-custody wallets like Mining Race, this key comes as a "Secret String" or "Seed Phrase," which is a series of 12 to 24 random words.

Mining Race wallets use a 12-word Secret String. We strongly advise writing down an offline copy of your 12 words and storing it in a safe location. If you have not backed it up yet, please go to Menu > Settings > Show Secret String & Backup to secure your wallet right now.
