My moral conviction is that all honest, reasonable and decent people would like good to be rewarded and evil punished.

In order for all good to be rewarded and all evil punished, there needs to be created a category of existence called the afterlife because if we are confined only to this life, there does not appear to be an awful lot of good being rewarded or evil punished.

In order for it to be logical for us to believe that good will be rewarded and evil punished in this life and the next, God needs to exist to perform this function.

Therefore belief in God is both necessary and logical if we want good to be rewarded and evil punished.
LAWS ARE NOT ENOUGH

The rule of law is required.

The rule of law exists when people want to obey the law because it is the law ie because they trust in its source and its enforcers and interpreters.

Americans just need to ask themselves if they are indeed one nation under God trusting in God. If not, what are they?

Aren’t these urgent and important questions that should be discussed as a national conversation?

I don’t see how any political problem in America can be solved without addressing this issue.

Is America a Christian nation?

The Founding Fathers were not Christian, however.

Jefferson who was a heretical Christian denied the Trinity and hated Calvin.

He drafted the Declaration of Independence in universal terms that would be inclusive of ethical monotheists who are non-Trinitarian and even pantheists like Spinoza.

Westerners have never had to proper discussion of who they think they are and what they think they are supposed to be.

John Adams said that the constitution is only fit for a moral and religious people, and no other .

This means most Americans must be righteous in order to claim the identity of being a “moral and religious people”. Can one be Christian and satisfy the minimum moral standards of the Noahide laws of being a righteous gentile?

If America is an exceptional nation it must be because it is an exceptional nation of being a constitutional republic that entertained the idea of its own termination.

If it’s an indispensable nation, we must ask ourselves its purpose.

If its purpose is to end Christendom, this was accomplished in 1918.

If Christendom means anything at all, it means a Europe of Christian kingdoms.

Americans can never be part of Christendom because they live in a constitutional republic unless they want to tear up their constitution to become either an absolute monarchy or an absolute dictatorship. The republic of Venice was an oligarchic republic that surrendered to Napoleon.

China is arguably a constitutional republic and a people’s democratic dictatorship.

If a dictator means anything, it means a leader with more rights and powers than anyone else who follows the constitution if there is one.

A Caliph or Emir is such a constitutional dictator.
