Enjoyment of Playing Mods You Developed

I have no experience ever making mods and I'm sure there are many joys had from the process of so, but I've always wondered how a developer of a mod experiences playing their own mods. One of the joys I have with mods is unveiling the mystique of foreign objects/ mobs, or the process of solving new struggles/problems from a mod. I can't imagine a developer experiencing this, since they know everything-- sometimes more than anybody ever will. They probably already know what solutions are and nothing is foreign.
