✈️ Confirmed: Singapore Airlines selects Starlink for next-generation high speed inflight internet

Singapore Airlines has announced that passengers can look forward to enhanced inflight Wi-Fi from Q1 2027, with the progressive introduction of Starlink Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite internet onboard Airbus A350-900LH, A350-900 ULR and A380-800 aircraft.

The airline expects the rollout to be completed by 2029.

Starlink internet will continue to be free for Suites, First Class, Business Class, PPS Club members, and KrisFlyer members in Premium Economy and Economy Class

☂️FWD Travel Insurance: Now with annual coverage for pre-existing medical conditions*, and coverage for reinstatement fees for flights booked with airline miles!

FWD Travel Insurance now includes coverage for pre-existing conditions on its annual policies, and also covers the reinstatement costs for air tickets booked with frequent flyer miles.

🩺 Pre-existing Medical Conditions add on*

Customers with pre-existing medical conditions such as allergies, diabetes, heart conditions, and asthma can now purchase a Pre-existing Medical Conditions add-on for their annual travel insurance policy , and receive coverage of up to S$150,000 for overseas medical expenses. There is also coverage for up to S$15,000 for trip cancellation or curtailment, with a 50% co-pay.

This add-on must be purchased at least 72 hours before departure, and is valid for up to 45 days per trip under the annual plan, or 30 days for single trip plans.

✈️ Reinstatement fees for frequent flyer miles

If you're unable to travel due to an insured event occurring within 30 days of departure, FWD Travel Insurance now covers the reinstatement fees for your frequent flyer miles (e.g. US$75 for Saver awards on KrisFlyer).

This feature is available on Business (up to S$1,000 coverage) and First (up to S$1,500 coverage) plans.

Do note that the policy does not cover the cost of unrecoverable miles (e.g. if you booked a KrisFlyer Spontaneous Escapes award).
