Saturday May 11th is our monthly training ruck. 8 miles, 25lb minimum. Hiking path and pavement.

It's simple. Can't do 8 miles? Do what you can. Don't have a trail or path nearby to make the terrain requirements? Ruck the neighborhood.

It doesn't matter if you cant do the full set of requirements it matters you are doing what you can, and I know you guys are more capable than what you currently think.

You are doing more than all the people not doing jack shit that make excuses and sit on their asses.

It's a lot easier once you get the momentum going. But you have to be honest and stop making excuses first. Get your family involved in it, get your buddies going too, and don't think too hard about all of it. All that matters is you get moving.

Get your fire teams together and form a unit. Start making regular efforts to train and ruck.

This is the way.

Greetings from the Midwest.

It's hot. It's gonna get hotter, and you guys need to hydrate. Training in these conditions means dedicating more weight and space and planning before you go out to hit it.

On a regular day you may use 1L of water and when the Summer hits may drink 3L to compensate loss.

So stay hydrated. Plan accordingly. Also the IG is up since #ROS merch is on merchboiz.com

Reminder. We leave only footprints when doing FTX and any marches. People who litter should be ostracized and mogged. Do NOT litter, leave no trash or signs you were there. This is a threat.
Results from today.

My numbers are way off from being considered "elite" level PT, but it's a lot better than it was in the past and a huge difference from the people not training at all.

Many challenges were faced (as always) that I couldnt predict. I did a trail I knew but in reverse to see what would happen. Also it was muddy and there were lots of downed trees blocking the paths so my route was different. Most of the trail was overgrown to a degree I have yet to see. With these things it is not an excuse but just a truth that even with training in a familiar place variables are always there. Just like anything in life you can plan all you want and sometimes lady luck has other plans for you.

I also managed to get up to a new speed PR (which is not my goal) but my overall speed was 0.2 mph slower than what I'd like.

Overall, 69 minutes at constant cardio under weight is a blast.

Get out. Get training. No one is going to do it for you.

Aug 17th is next event ruck.

NEMO is our location for in person event. Remote ruckers are to do a loaded 4-6 mile push. Challenge is up to the 16 mile mark. (Yes we do 15.6 miles normally for our event)

For those participating remotely where ever you live minimum pack weight is 25lbs.

Initiate 2-7 miles
Grunt 8-12 miles
BMF 12+ miles (18.5 is goal)
Ruck is Saturday. 25lb minimum, with a 4-6 mile course.

Goal is to see what your average pace is. If you hit it and get some good numbers send them to me. Take some pics too. Take your pets too. Who doesn't love pups?

Big thanks to all the dudes that showed up in person to do the Ruck with Lady Luck.

People came out in the beautiful weather to embrace some suck willingly.
