In a night-time operation, tribes allied with the Republican Leadership Council (PLC), with Saudi support, took control of the strategic city of Al-Yatama in Al-Jawf province and drove back tribal forces supporting the Houthis towards Wadi Ateef.
⚔️ This is the first time since the beginning of the current civil war that PLC-allied forces have taken control of part of the strategic Al-Hazm–Al-Bouq road (highway 556)., a route that constitutes one of the main supply lines for the Houthis to the important positions at Jabal Madman.

🇮🇷 : Iranian channels are misleadingly trying to present this result of the Iranian market as a proof of the resilience of the Iranian economy. If anything, it proves Iran economy is actually collapsing. Let me explain you why :
The broad claim in the image is real. I checked today’s Iranian market data. On 17 August 2026, the Tehran Stock Exchange’s TEDPIX was around 5.90 million points, with today’s Iranian reports describing new historical records; the equal-weight index has also been rising strongly.
But this is the important part: an all-time high in TEDPIX does not mean the Iranian economy is at an all-time high. In Iran’s current circumstances, the two can actually move in opposite directions.
Why can this happen?
The biggest reason is inflation and the collapse of the rial.

According to U.S. government data, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the Gulf states are managing to move an average of approximately 15 million barrels of oil per day - 9 million by tankers passing through the Strait itself, and another 6 million through alternative routes and upgraded land-based infrastructure, primarily pipelines.
A significant portion of this oil is reportedly being moved discreetly, under the protection of the U.S. Fifth Fleet, and therefore does not appear in publicly available databases. But perhaps the strongest evidence that the strategy is working is the price of oil itself. Instead of skyrocketing, prices have remained roughly between $85 and $90 per barrel - nowhere near the warnings of $150 or more and predictions of an economic crisis on the scale of the Great Depression.
Together with other developments in the global oil market - particularly declining Chinese consumption and, to some extent, record oil production in Venezuela - the new reality is compensating for almost all of the roughly 20 million barrels per day that passed through Hormuz before the war.
What is holding Trump back from unleashing the full force of the U.S. military against Iran is no longer Hormuz. That battle, as has become increasingly clear over time, appears to have been decided. The real concern now is the possibility of indiscriminate Iranian attacks against the oil infrastructure of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states.

Israel describes the site as a strategic facility built over two decades with Iranian financing and planning, containing command centers, weapons rooms, generator rooms, living quarters, showers, and a kitchen that allowed Hezbollah fighters to remain underground for extended periods.
The army says attacks had been launched from the complex, its operational threat has now been neutralized, and demolition work is underway. After the site is destroyed, Israeli forces plan to establish a new defensive posture, signaling an eventual withdrawal from the ridge.
