📌 Linux is an open-source operating system kernel that serves as the foundation for many different operating systems known as Linux distributions or distros. These distros bundle the Linux kernel with additional software, tools, and user interfaces to create a complete OS.

📌 Types of Linux Distributions: 
Some popular Linux distros include:

- Ubuntu: User-friendly and great for beginners. 
- Fedora: Cutting-edge features, backed by Red Hat. 
- Debian: Stable and reliable, basis for many other distros. 
- CentOS / Rocky Linux: Used for servers, stable and enterprise-grade. 
- Arch Linux: Minimalist and highly customizable for advanced users. 
- Linux Mint: Similar to Ubuntu, focused on ease of use. 
- CachyOS: Arch-based, optimized for performance with custom kernels and tweaks for speed.
- Manjaro: Also based on Arch, but more beginner-friendly with easier installation. 
- OpenSUSE: Known for stability and great system management tools (YaST). 
- Kali Linux: Designed for security professionals and penetration testing. 

Each distro serves different needs, some are ideal for desktops, others for servers, programming, or security testing.

This week, we lost an extraordinary person,Yordanos Wuletaw. Yordi was someone who genuinely cared for others and always sought to connect on a deeper level. As the first president of the Computing Association, he led by example, showing unwavering commitment to his responsibilities even when no one else did.

His persistence, dedication, and kindness were truly inspiring. Yordi had a heart full of love and never turned away anyone in need. He consistently supported those around him, always putting his family and community first.

Yordi reminded us of what truly matters, taking the time to ensure everyone felt seen and valued. His presence was a genuine gift, and he will be deeply missed.
