Details about Banach Scholarship call for proposal

Banach program: tuition-free second-cycle (master’s degree) studies at leading Polish universities plus monthly scholarship of approx. EUR 350.

Fields of studies: engineering and technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact and natural sciences. Both your undergrad program and program of your choice under the scholarship must fit within these. Humanities and economics/business are not covered.

Eligibility: in short, you must be finishing your undergrad studies this year or have finished no earlier than in 2020. If you already hold postgraduate (Master’s) diploma, you usually are not eligible. The key criterion for selection is the score of your undergraduate diploma.

Courses are in English by default. Masters programs take 3 or 4 semesters. You will be offered a summer course on Polish language and culture after year one.

English proficiency is confirmed by your Ethiopian university diploma, since higher education in Ethiopia is in English. No other English proficiency certificate is required.

Polish language track will only be available for those already at A2 level of fluency in Polish. This track starts with one-year intensive Polish language course, and only then the postgraduate program.

With NAWA you apply for scholarship only. Results will be out by mid-July. Separately you should apply for chosen programs directly with Polish universities. It is worth doing it before you get the decision on funding. Otherwise you may pass the universities’ deadline, and only qualify for courses starting February-March 2023.
