๐Ÿ“ธ MEx 101 | Metal Waste Recycling

Mechanical Engineering continues to build the physical systems that support our modern world. At Mechanical Engineering @ RUPP, Design & Manufacturing Process is one of our four Areas of Focus.

In this project, our team developed a metal casting system that transforms recycled CNC metal scrap into engineering components through sand casting. Students experience the complete manufacturing workflowโ€”from material preparation and melting to mold design, casting, and testing.

As Cambodia relies heavily on imported metal materials, recycling and local manufacturing offer practical engineering solutions for a more sustainable future.

Automatic Lighting Control Using PIR & LDR Sensors

Mechanical Engineering is increasingly driven by smart systems that integrate mechanics, electronics, sensors, and programming. At Mechanical Engineering @ RUPP, Mechatronic & Automation System (MAS) is one of our four Areas of Focus.

In Week 05, students built an automatic lighting control system using an Arduino Uno, PIR sensor, LDR sensor, and relay module. Through this activity, they explored sensor integration, programming, electrical control, and system testingโ€”core skills in Mechatronic & Automation System.
