A shy New Orleans kitchenware salesgirl, Georgia Byrd (Queen Latifah), dreams of a better life, opening her own restaurant and going to a resort. She writes all her wishes in her "Possibilities" book
While flirting with her coworker Sean, she hits her head. The doctor does a brain scan and tells her she has a fatal disease and only weeks to live
So she quits her job, cashes out her savings, and blows it all on a fancy resort, where everyone mistakes her for a crazy millionaire. She rolls with it because she has nothing to lose, impresses a French chef (Depardieu) with her recipes, and makes new friends
But her old boss, Matthew Kragen, shows up and exposes her as a fake. Luckily, her new friends don't care, they actually turn against him.
Meanwhile, Sean finds out about her "illness" and follows her to the resort to confess his feelings. At the same time, the doctor realizes the machine was broken, she's perfectly fine

- I mean, somebody came up with 'em. You should draw Minions, everybody loves those yellow guys! Not like that Gravity Falls thing. Or your cartoon. People can't stand convoluted plots with all that symbolism and backstory. Just do something simple and rake in the cash!

That's me right now, after talking with my family I think I'll rest for a bit and then get back to work
I'm so tired of giving lectures to my family about how I hate the way they talk about me
